Base on that photo what can you say about the Lenovo S800? Ok, if you have not noticed it's a phone that features a transparent screen. Although this technology is not new in its bare essentials since Sony Ericsson have done one in the past. But compared to what SE did, Lenovo's S800 displays colors, yeah the SE's version of this, the Sony Ericsson Pureness can only display grey and white.

[Update] Microsoft reports 2.5 million units of Kinect sold
The day Microsoft started selling their Kinect for the XBox 360, it was already in competition with Nintendo's Wii, and Sony's PlayStation Move. While Nintendo had it's share of success with it's Wii they are still selling and not a dollar is cut by Nintendo for the Wii. Sony, on the other hand, reported they have sold 2.5 million units of the PlayStation Move, which is basically a direct competition they have put head to head with Nintendo's Wii (minus the console). With the XBox on their shoulders, Microsoft is not keen on stopping their development with it. Hence, Kinect which removes the need of those controllers all together.

Latest Android smartphone by LG looks faster than the Galaxy S and the iPhone 4
The new LG LU3000 which is a smartphone made for the South Korean market is said to be faster than the iPhone 4 or Samsung's Galaxy S. From my own observation, the LU3000 looks fairly like the LG Optimus 7 that runs on Windows Phone 7. And by more observation, it seems that this handset features a UI for Android. More like of the HTC Sense isn't it?

Nokia X7-00 an unannounced phone comes with 4 speakers
Are you a person who wants multimedia to be the main thing happening on their phone? Is the number of speakers important for you in a phone? Then this, yet unannounced, is one hell of a phone. It's form factor is quite a bit of like the N8 or the E7 but hey, who wants to compare this phone with the N8? It simply has 4 speakers and that's 3 more than most phones out there.

Sony Ericsson to introduce the PSP Phone on December 9?
A French blog Nowhereelse reported to have received a copy of an invitation to a Sony Ericsson press event on December 9. Although we cannot confirm the authenticity of this invitation or the report, it only means one thing, that Sony Ericsson is going to unveil something cool. The event is described as “the most awaited event of the past 10 years.” and by the photo above with the matching buttons of a very familiar PlayStation controller then we can safely say that they might be unveiling the PSP Phone. We'll wait for December 9 to come and go and see what Sony Ericsson has in store for us.

iPhone UberTwitter Beta app now available for download
UberTwitter, sounds familiar? Or do you usually see it on your Twitter's timeline? Well, you have to know this app if you're a Twitter user, it's BlackBerry's most popular mobile Twitter client app. Now UberTwitter is "expanding" their app to not only BlackBerry devices but also to the iPhone.
Although BlackBerry has it's own official Twitter app and is currently being used by more and more Blackberry users the UberTwitter app is still as famous if not the most popular. Instead of just offering the app to BlackBerry loving users why not offer it to iPhone users?

Android OS takes Symbian's crown as the most popular mobile OS in Asia
According to a report by GfK, Android have taken the crown from Symbian as Asia's most popular mobile OS. In the Asian region Symbian have been the queen of mobile OS for years compare that in the US where iOS and BlackBerry OS are the two that competes with Android.
In the 3rd quarter of 2010 Android have overtaken Symbian for the number 1 spot in Asia. As more and more Android devices are being introduced and launched in the region, the response is just like what's happening anywhere else in the world. Android is totally everywhere. As you can see, the graph just is basically saying that the overwhelming rise of the Android OS in the region is the beginning of a trend that will keep on rising. Well, if there's anything that Apple, BlackBerry or even Symbian can do then Android will surely be up there ready to take on the challenge.

And then Acer debuts their 10.1 inch Windows 7 based tablet
While we were all busy with Acer's Global press event where devices from a dual-touch screen laptop, Android tablet, and a humongous smartphone, Acer have debuted a different tablet, with a press release, mind you. This tablet, though, runs on Windows 7 in a black motif and is a 10.1" device.
Acer intros 4.8" Android smartphone that packs a 1024x480 resolution
Acer's Global press event today is just confirming rumors and leaks and that's what we all like or some of us, right? Another question before I start typing about this post is, who likes them huge smartphones? If you think those 4.3" smartphones are huge, then how will you describe Acer's unnamed smartphone that features a 4.8" touch screen display then?
Acer flaunts their Android tablet to be shipped in April 2011
Acer flaunts their 7 and 10 inch tablet that are set to be shipped starting Aprild of 2011. This will be Acer's player in the tablet game that Samsung started with their Galaxy Tab. As much as we wanted that these devices will ship within this month or earlier next month for the simple reason that the Holiday Season is just around the corner, Acer won't give us that "want" though. These tablets, both the 10.1 inch and the 7 inch, will be shipped by next year, April.
Dell Streak comes in Red and White also available unlocked and will ship with Froyo
Yup, you can now get the 5" tablet (more like an oversized phone) from Dell in two different colors and when you get it over at Dell.com it will come unlocked and will run on Android 2.2 Froyo.
The Dell Streak was launched way back in summer (US) and was shipped with Android 1.6 Donut. Today you can get the said tablet from Dell's online store unlocked and with two different colors, Cherry Red and Pure White.
Acer unveils their Toshiba Libretto challenger: Acer Iconia dual touch screen laptop
Remember the dual-touchscreen laptop by Toshiba, the Libretto? Acer has their own version for that. Leaked before, the Acer Inconia is a dual-toucscreen laptop, yup dual touchscreen. You won't be able to find any physical keyboard on this device it got ditched and replaced by a screen.
During Acer's Global press event which is actually happening right now, they actually unveiled tons of touch screen devices, from smartphones, tablets, and laptops. This post will be about the laptop, apparently. It runs on Windows 7 and that's as much as what we can get from this device right now. Specs and whatnots will come soon, when the event is done of course. So dual touch screen devices/laptops are coming into the scene, starting with the Toshiba Libretto. What has this Acer Iconia that will lure us from buying it? I will update you all if their are any, of course.
Update: With Endgadget's first hands-on with the dual-touch screen laptop, it seems Acer have put some UI overlay on the Windows 7 OS which is actually good since Toshiba's Libretto is reviewed badly primarily because its difficult to navigate through Windows 7's UI (with no overlays) by means of touching. Kodus to Acer.

iOS 4.2 available today for iOS devices - iPod Touch, iPad, and the iPhone
It may come late but at least its already available. Today is the day that Apple fans out there are waiting for. The release of the iOS 4.2.1 which is basically made for the iPad and where the iOS 4.2 will really stand out most. The software update fixes the iPad's WiFi bugs and will add features that the iPad does not have while the iPhone have like multitasking. Delays won't let the Apple fans from waiting for the this software update that the iPad basically needs and will eventually change things for the iPad. This update will also give the much needed performance improvements for the iPhone 3G.
"Also of note, Apple has made Find My iPhone free for all users. The feature, which allows GPS-enabled iOS devices to be located from within a Web interface, had previously been part of Apple’s $100-per-year MobileMe service." - BGR
The devices that my source have mentioned that will be getting the iOS 4.2.1 update are the iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, and the iPod Touch with no mention of which generation of the iPod Touch it is but just try it.
According to Macworld, the update will be available today at 10AM PST (Pacific Standard Time), that's three hours from now. On the other hand Apple's official press statement says "available today". I suggest you all try connecting your iOS devices to your Macs or PCs and check if the update is already pushed out and goodluck.
To update your iOS devices just connect them to your Macs or PCs with the latest iTunes running and update it from their. Tell us what you think of the iOS 4.2 is fairing after the update!

[Local] Samsung Galaxy S i9000 gets Android 2.2 Froyo update in the Philippines
The Samsung Galaxy S Android 2.2 Froyo update was officially announced in the middle of October. Today, November 21, my source has received information that Galaxy S i9000 owners in the Philippines have started getting their share of the update. Of course, he wanted to try if it was true or if it'd work so he gets his own Galaxy S and tried updating it and viola he's Galaxy S is now running fine with Android 2.2 Froyo.
This update is not going to be an OTA (Over-The-Air), as this is very unusual here in our country. The only way you can get the update is by downloading the latest version of Samsung Kies. My source had problems with the software detecting his device (also experienced by a friend who has the same device) but after tryies and re-tries he was able to update his Galaxy S. Try it for yourself and tell us how Android 2.2 Froyo performs on the Samsung Galaxy S i9000.

Yeah, I know you'd love to read the title if it was "launched" rather than released. At least the wait of it all won't be that long anymore, as with any other releases, launching is next in line.
