MWC 2014: ZTE Grand Memo II LTE

At MWC 2014, the Chinese phonemaker ZTE has unveiled their mid-range update to the Grand Memo, the ZTE Grand Memo II LTE. The phablet runs on Android with a 6" display and according to ZTE is a very slim device, in fact, it is 7.2mm thin. The Grand Memo II LTE is touted to be available in April in China and will be available after its China launch in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. I don't have the full specs of the device since ZTE only have its preliminary specs from their press release.

MWC 2014: ZTE Open C and Open 2 Firefox OS devices

ZTE has announced two new mobile devices that run on Mozilla's Firefox OS, yes it is still alive. The ZTE Open C and the Open 2 both got a press release from ZTE's official website and viola, the two tiny smartphones from the Chinese phonemaker running on Firefox OS. The OS is fairly young as it was unveiled to the public last year (at the CES 2013 if my memory serves me right).Anyway, I have preliminary specs of these devices after the break.

The ZTE Grand S II

ZTE has unveiled their new flagship Android smartphone back at CES 2014 with the unveiling of the ZTE Grand S II. This device succeeds over the Grand S and is now a bit bigger and could possibly be a phablet smartphone. From 5 inches with the Grand S, the Grand S II now sports a 5.5" full HD display. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean this smartphone packs a punch in terms of its specs. Unfortunately, there is no launch date yet but rest assured this will come out probably in Q1 of this year and if not in Q2.

MWC 2013: ZTE Grand Memo

ZTE has officially unveiled their own phablet (I think this ain't their first) at MWC 2013, the ZTE Grand Memo. The device is on display at their booth back in MWC 2013 but as for its full detailed specs? Everybody seems to be unsure about it. Anyway, the device is expected to be launched in Q2 of 2013. The phablet runs on Android 4.1 and sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 or the 800 CPU. As for its display, the phablet is huge having a 5.7" 720p display.

MWC 2013: Mozilla introduces Firefox OS

So, finally, Mozilla has announced their very own mobile OS dubbed as the Firefox OS. This, together with Ubuntu will make the smartphone world more wonderful for consumers. Wonderful because competition keeps everything in check. Anyway, the first smartphones to sport the said OS from Mozilla will be ZTE's Open (photo above) and Alcatel's OneTouch Fire (photo below). I have specs for the ZTE device but nothing from the Alcatel. You can check out The Verge's hands on video of these two device and check out the OS itself.

ZTE announced the ZTE V81

ZTE has announced, ahead of Samsung, their own 8-incher tablet. Dubbed as the ZTE V81, it packs an 8-inch display powered by a dual-core processor and running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. So far, there is no word yet on when ZTE plans to launch the device and actually start selling it neither is its price. Expect that ZTE will be showcasing this device at MWC 2013 which is just around the corner.

ZTE announces the Grand S a 5-incher 1080p smartphone

ZTE, at CES 2013, announced what seems to be a phablet. The smartphone is dubbed the ZTE Grand S and packs a 5" 1080p full HD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.7GHz. The device, like most of the high-end Android devices today sports 2GB of RAM. The device is expected to be launched around the second quarter of 2013 which means, if you want to get one, you have time to save up and a lot of time to wait.

USA: Sprint announced the ZTE Flash 4G LTE

Sprint announced a new member of their 4G LTE smartphone portfolio by announcing the ZTE Flash. An Android running device that sports 4G LTE connectivity, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and a 4.5" IPS display. Sprint will be offering the device soon. I still do not know when but Sprint will announce that anytime soon. No price was given. I can't even find the official press release for this device on their website. They just posted the fact sheet of the ZTE Flash, which is a sign that the device will be launched by the carrier. Anyway, the specs of the device are listed after the break.

ZTE announced the ZTE Blade III 4G LTE smartphone

The Chinese phone-maker, the world's 4th largest, have announced the successor of the ZTE Blade II, named, unsurprisingly, the Blade III. The smartphone runs on, of course, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and sports a 4" WVGA display. According to ZTE's presser, the Blade III will be launched in Sweden and in Finland by Septmeber. Unfortunately, the company did not disclose any exact dates when that will happen. For those who are in either Finland and in Sweden, you might want to check local retail stores if some of them have already put the Blade III for pre-order.

IFA 2012: ZTE announces world's first Intel Medfield smartphone with the ZTE Grand X IN

ZTE beats Motorola to the finish line by announcing to the world the first Intel Atom (Medfield) based smartphone. Dubbed by the Chinese company as the ZTE Grand X IN, this Android running smarrphone is being powered by the Intel Atom Z2460 processor. This also marks Intel's entrance into the mobile world by finally supplying and competing in smartphones to some top guns with the likes of Qualcomm, nVidia, Samsung, and Texas Instruments. ZTE will be launching the device in Europe first by September. Other markets should follow after that. No price was announced. 

ZTE announces the ZTE Grand X LTE

ZTE has officially announced the world's first single chip LTE smartphone. No, that does not mean that this is the world's first single-core device or smartphone. What that means is that ZTE is the first company to incorporate the single-chip technology into an LTE smartphone. The chiup that ZTE is talking about is actually the Qualcomm MSM8960 processor. The ZTE Grand X LTE is scheduled to be launched in Europe and in the Asia Pacific in the 3rd quarter of 2012.

USA: ZTE Fury announced and now available via Sprint for $19.99

Sprint is now selling the ZTE Fury for a rock-bottom price of only $19.99. The smartphone was announced a while back already and has started being sold in March 11, 2012. The ZTE Fury is now where near a high-end Android device considering its price we should not expect too much from this little fellow. Before we go to its specs, the $19.99 comes after a $50 mail-in rebate and it excludes taxes and surcharges so don't be shocked when you discover that Sprint won;t give you the smartphone for just $19.99. Of course the $19.99 price requires you to commit with Sprint for 2 years.

MWC 2012: ZTE Era

ZTE has announced a high-end Android smartphone at MWC 2012. Named as the ZTE Era, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running smartphone boasts a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and a 4.3" qHD display. The smartphone will be ZTE's new flagship handset and is bound to be launched in Europe and in China in the second quarter of this year. No word on pricing ye. MWC 2012: ZTE Orbit

ZTE, at MWC 2012, announced a budget friendly Windows Phone smartphone dubbed as the ZTE Orbit. The device will be joining the ZTE Tania in the company's effort to be more felt in the Windows Phone market. The Orbit is scheduled to be available in the second quarter of this year. No word on how much the smartphone would cost but we should have the pricing when the device gets launched somewhere. The Orbit runs on the latest version of the platform, Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. ZTE Mimosa X unveiled

ZTE, after announcing two Android smartphones yesterday, the ZTE PF200 and the N910, announced another smartphone bound to be showcased at MWC 2012. The new Android smartphone is given a name ZTE Mimosa X and sports a 4.3" qHD display and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. We should probably get more information about the Mimosa X's specs when the device is officially showcased at MWC 2012. So far, those are the things you should expect from the device which also comes with the usual connectivity stuffs you'd see in a smartphone. Head over the break for ZTE's press release.

ZTE unveils the PF200 and N910 Android ICS smartphones

ZTE has announced that they will be announcing at Mobile World Congress 2012, which is bound to happen just around the corner, two new smartphone that run on Android's latest iteration, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The two new smartphones are dubbed as the ZTE PF200 (photo: above) and the ZTE N910 (photo: below). Both handsets are equipped with LTE connectivity, so for those who wants fast mobile internet, these should be part of you choice in buying a new smartphone. 

USA: Sprint unveils the ZTE Optik to be available on Feb. 5 for only $99.99

Sprint has officially announced the first ZTE tablet in North America, the ZTE Optik. Sprint is scheduled to make the tablet available at their Sprint Stores and online come February 5th for only $99.99 with a 2-year contract. The Optik will also be available sans the contract for $349.99 and that comes with a 16GB of internal memory.

ZTE Tania running on Windows Phone launched in London

ZTE's first Windows Phone in the UK is officially announced and should come in February 13th since Clove is already expecting the first stock of ZTE Tania's to arrive at that day. The phone maker, ZTE who is by the way the 4th largest in the world, has stuffed Windows Phone 7.5 Mango into the Tania and sports a 4.3" display and a 1GHz processor. USA: AT&T Avail

The last but not the least of the five Android invasion on AT&T. The ZTE-made AT&T Avail is the last of them which runs on Android Gingerbread and a 3.5" touchscreen display. The phone is launched by GoPhone, AT&T's prepaid offering. This offer from AT&T is aimed for those who wants to take control of how much they spend on their phone. 

UK: Motorola Fire and ZTE Tureis now available in the UK

Two new Android devices are now available in the UK. The Motorola Fire (photo: left) and the ZTE Tureis (photo: right) are now available at Clove. We already know the Motorola Fire since it was announced by Motorola a while back. You can check out the device's specs here. On the other hand, the ZTE Tureis is nowhere to be found in this blog, so I will be focusing on that here. But before that, Clove UK is pricing the Motorola Fire at £174 (VAT inclusive) and the ZTE Tureis at £144 (VAT inclusive).
