Microsoft launched Bing's own mobile site to iOS, Android and BlackBerry

Microsoft have launched the mobile version of their Google (the search engine) counterpart to smartphones! Bing mobile is expected to offer Bing's daily image, hotspots, links to maps, directions, and local information. The mobile site of Bing search should be available to these platforms, iOS, Android 2.0 (or higher), and BlackBerry 6. Try it now! head over to m.bing.com on your smartphone's browser.

Google improves the design of their website

Google have announced and have actually started rolling out a new design to their website. Although not much, it is indeed very noticeable. The new design is primarily just a black bar at the very top of google.com. There are links of other Google services on that bar which will be highlighted with a thin red bar on the service you are on. Like that in the photo since the search page is open or used, the link highlighted on the black bar is the one that says "Web". Head over to Google.com to check if you got the new design.

Google introduces a better way to use Google Search on your mobile phones

Google during their media event, they have announced and introduced new stuff on Google search for desktops, of course, Google search on your mobile phones will definitely not be late on improvements and whatnots. So here's whats new with Google on your mobile phones.

Google announces Voice Search, Image Search, and Instant Pages

Google, during a media event in San Francisco earlier, announced three new stuff that they will be incorporating into Google.com. These are Google Voice Search, Image Search, and Instant Pages. Google, the company we all know, is always trying to improve web searching by adding new features and making search easy and as fast as what Instant Pages does. That, I believe is the coolest of them three announced.

New Yahoo Search Assist in testing

Yahoo Search Assist, a technology that Yahoo pioneered, is getting an improvement that'll totally compete with Google's Instant. Yahoo wants to make your search experience to be faster than what they are offering you right now. What they have in mind is actually amazing, but I do not know if this will truly be Google Instant's competition or is it a different story?

Google Search app now available for Windows Phone 7

Google, the search engine giant, made a move to be a part of the Windows Phone 7 platform which is basically Bing powered, of course. Today, Google have released their search application for the said platform marking the sign that Google is also interested in entering the realm of Windows Phone 7.

Google changes label name on search advertising from Sponsored Links to just Ads

Why am I not surprised? Google is committed to giving the best in the search engine industry and recently they have changed what was "Sponsored Links" to "Ads" which basically makes more sense. This change only works, today, to English language domains, but will eventually roll out globally.

The Sponsored Links label will remain to all other Google properties such as the Gmail and Google Maps. This isn't something very interesting but hey what's the point of updating my readers?

Bing partners with Firefox

Bing and Firefox finally shook hands and made it  official that Bing is now a partner with Firefox. Well, Internet Explorer's one competitor will now have Bing as one of the options within Firefox both on Mac and PC. This is great news for all Bing and Firefox users. Well I'm a Bing searcher but not a Firefox user. But anyhow, this partnership is good news for those who use both.

Bing, is expecting to be included in the next build of Firefox 4 Beta, which will be Beta 7.  So expect an update pretty soon from Firefox withing the next couple of days or weeks, as Firefox has always been updating its Firefox 4 Beta baby.
