[Local] Motorola Defy coming to Philippine shores in December

The Motorola Defy, the rugged & and the off-road Android smartphone is coming into Philippine shores in December. Although Motorola isn't really making much noise here in the Philippines, they are still pushing the Motorola Defy in our country.

Motorola in the US is a brand that almost all of the Americans know off, if not all of them. And while they are offering much more than just the Defy in the US with the likes of the Motorola Droid line, Droid X, Droid 2, Droid Pro, and the Droid 2 Global all over at Verzion, here in the Philippines it seems, hopefully not, the only Android offering from the company.

Don't know what the Motorola Defy offers you? It's an Android 2.1 Eclair smartphone that's made to withstanding the elements. Water proof, shock proof, and dust proof are what you would want in all smartphones, unfortunately if I am not mistaken, this is the only Android phone with all those proofs in it. It also packs an 800MHz processor, a 5MP camera, MotoBlur (Motorola Android UI), and 512MB of RAM.

For local Motorola fans out there December is the month you want to keep in mind with. If you want this phone with the ruggedness of it all then you might want to prepare Php 23,000 (more or less) to get one.

By the way the Defy is not stuck with 2.1 Eclair since Motorola will be rolling out the Android 2.2 Froyo update by next year.
