[Local] MSI WindPad W100 comes to the Philippines - Windows 7 tablet

The Windows 7 powered MSI WindPad W100 was showcased by MSI during the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 in Las Vegas. YugaTech was informed by an MSI representative here in the Philippines that the tablet will be available in country.

Effects of faulty Intel's Sandy Bridge processors: Asus, MSI, Toshiba, Lenovo

Following the announcement of Intel with regards to their 2nd Generation Intel Core Sandy Bridge processors, almost all of the computer manufacturing companies have halted the sale of their products that is equipped with those chipsets that have an "incurable design flaw". On my count, 6 of them have already responded to the situation, and Samsung has one of the boldest moves, offering a full refund to Samsung PC owners with those faulty chipset. Dell have also responded by offering their customers a solution that will follow their Warranty and Service Terms.

MSI WindPad 100W now available for sale

Announced during CES 2011, the Windows based WindPad 100W is now available for $710. Simply Electronics, an online retailer which is now listing the said tablet on their website. The MSI WindPad will be the first batch of Windows based tablet that like eventually make there way into the market.

MSI puts an AMD Zacate APU on a notebook - MSI CR650

It's not only Toshiba that put inserted an AMD Zacate in a notebook  MSI also had that in mind by putting the APU on the MSI CR650 notebook. The AMD Zacate is an APU or Accelerated Processing Unit which basically means a CPU and a GPU in one chip making this technology perfect for netbooks or ultraportables. But Toshiba and MSI thinks otherwise.

MSI announced Sandy Bridge equipped laptops during CES 2011

MSI is one of those computer manufacturers that did not fail to announce their new lines of laptop during CES 2011. MSI unveiled a lot of them, and I mean a lot and with Intel's second generation Sandy Bridge processors in them. Head over the break to see what MSI has to offer.

MSI R6800 series officially launched

"The world class graphics card and mainboard manufacturer" MSI has officially launched it's MSI R6800 series of GPUs, the R6850 and the R6870. 

"AMD's newly announced 6800 series means that a number of the main graphics cards manufacturers will be making announcements of a new series of DX11 cards." - TechRadar-

The features of the MSI's R6800 series are that it supports DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4a output. "The R6800 family includes R6870-2PM2D1GD5 using the AMD RadeonTM HD 6870 GPU and R6850-PM2D1GD5 using the AMD AMD RadeonTM HD 6850 GPU."  It also incorporates the new "Pipe Touching" technology, that cools the core's temperature, that's down by 10%. The new MSI 6800 series also support's MSI's exclusive AfterBurners software, which allows adjustments of fan speed which provides saved settings profiles.

MSI unveils GT663 gaming laptop - price and availability not disclosed

MSI (Micro-Star International), unveils its latest gaming laptop, the GT663. The gaming laptop is equipped with Intel's Quad Core i7 processor, up to 12GB o RAM, and can handle up to two hard drives with capacities of 500GB, 640GB, and 1TB. It also packs an nVidia GeForce GTX 460m graphics processing unit with a 1.5GB of memory which is capable of handling a LED backlit display that's 15.6inch big with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. This laptop is made not to disappoint laptop gamers.
