IFA 2012: Dell announces the Dell XPS Duo 10 and Duo 12 Windows 8 tablets

Dell, at IFA 2012, unveiled two Windows 8 tablets by the name of the Dell XPS Duo 10 and the XPS Duo 12. The difference? The Duo 10 is a tablet with a keyboard dock while the Duo 12 is also a tablet but with a built in keyboard dock and has this very unique swiveling action to turn it from a tablet into a full-pledge netbook or laptop, whatever you want to call it. That swiveling Duo 12 is not really new, Dell also announced back in 2010 the Dell Inspiron Duo, that I believe never made it to the market. It was suppose to run on Windows 7. Now, since Microsoft has Windows 8, a platform perfect for either a Laptop, Desktop, and a Tablet, Dell now has the XPS Duo. 

Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook unveiled [CES 2012]

Dell, at CES 2012, also unveiled an Ultrabook to go with the ranks of other PC makers that have announced theirs. The Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook is probably the company's thinnest laptop that only measures 18mm at its thickest point. The device is priced somewhere around $1,000 so its not bad for a Dell XPS.

Dell stops selling the Dell Streak 7

There goes another ill-fated tablet. If you go to the Dell Streak 7's page over at Dell's online store, the company said that on the page. Apparently, they are not anymore selling the bigger Dell Streak. Dell, on the other hand only said that the tablet is no longer available online, so it might mean that for those who still wants to own a Dell Streak 7, they might still be able to find the tablet in T-Mobile stores but then again, that ain't an assurance. Anyway, that's it, Dell is not producing Streak 7s anymore. The question now is, will the company make or introduce a different tablet maybe in 2012? Who knows.

USA: AT&T Dell Venue Pro Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update now rolling out

The Windows Phone-powered Dell Venue Pro is now starting to receive its Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update. Windows Phone Blog announced that those who have the smartphone with AT&T can now download and install the latest available version of Windows Phone into their Venue Pros. The update will give an enhanced overall phone performance. Head over to the Update Central page for instructions on how to get and install 7.5 Mango to your Venue Pro. 

Dell Streak 7 Android 3.2 Honeycomb update now available

Dell has announced that the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update to the Dell Streak 7 is coming. The update will be available to Dell Streak 7 units that are unlocked and also for Dell Streak 7 WiFi only unlocked units. The markets who are expected to receive the OTA update are the US, Europe, and Asia both on the 3G-enabled and the WiFi only Streak 7s. Since the update is OTA, users should expect a notification that the device has a newer software available for update. Dell officially announces the Dell Streak 10 Pro in China

The Dell Streak Pro is officially official! The tablet, Dell's third, after the Dell Streak 5 and 7 will be launched in the Chinese market in the coming weeks and should be available at Dell's online store. With regards to pricing the Android Honeycomb powered tablet will be available for RMB 3,699 (US$575). The specs of the device are listed below.

USA: Dell Venue Pro available via AT&T for $99 on contract

The Windows Phone 7 powered Dell Venue Pro is already selling via T-Mobile in the US but if you want to get the phone on a different carrier then this is good news for you. AT&T will be selling the only WP7 device with a physical sliding QWERTY keyboard. Today, you can pre-order the device with a new 2-year contract with AT&T for only $99. You can also get it unlocked for $499. Another great news is that the phone will be sporting either an 8GB, a 16GB, or a 32GB internal storage, of course the price would go up as you climb the ladder. USA: Dell announces availability of the Dell Streak 7 WiFi in the US

The Dell Streak 7 WiFi only version is now available in the US. The Dell Streak 7 is the 2nd tablet from the company, featuring a larger 7" display from it's predecessor the 5-incher Dell Streak. Dell Streak 7 coming to the UK, France, and Germany

Dell's second tablet challenger, the 7-inch Dell Streak is announced to be coming in the UK, France, and Germany. For those who do not know yet, the Dell Streak 7 is an Android 2.2 Froyo tablet in tow is the Dell Stage UI. The device is also Dell's first dual-core tablet featuring the 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor.

[Local] Dell Streak launched in the Philippines

The Dell Streak, technically the first Android tablet to hit the market is now available in the Philippines, finally! This launching is the longest and most late, the whole time I was blogging. This is not even the new Dell Streak 7 but this is the 5-inch Streak, the tablet that is known to be too large to be a smartphone and too small to be tablet. But in Dell's ideology, it's a tablet.

Dell Venue Pro starts receiving "Copy & Paste" update [Updated: confirmed]

I am not sure if this is the much talked about "NoDo" update that Microsoft have started rolling out. But I believe it is, it's just that the phone will be receiving a separate update to what the other WP7 devices will be getting. The name "Copy & Paste" is how Dell calls the update it seems they are not using "NoDo". 

Dell Streak 7 gets price and launching details

The Dell Streak 7 was announced during CES 2011 and T-Mobile USA is already selling the 7 inch tablet. Today, we have details on the launching of the Android powered tablet in the UK. The tablet will be priced for  £299, including VAT & freight. A very good deal if you ask me. The 3G and WiFi capable tablet will be sold over at Dell Direct, SIM-free and unlocked.

Dell Venue Pro finally available in the UK

Oh, I thought this device was never coming out from it's closet. The long-ago-announced Del Venue Pro running on Windows Phone 7 is finally available in the UK. The device was simply hampered from its official launching because of issues that just made interested buyers go berserk (exaggerating).

Dell Streak 5 gets Android 2.2 Froyo update for AT&T and Rogers customers

The Dell Streak, the first tablet (more like a smartphone) that got out, now gets the Android 2.2 Froyo for AT&T and Rogers customers. The update have actually started rolling out and Dell said that when you reboot your device (they actually referred to it as "the phone") you might get that notification that you see in the photo.

Dell brings "New Levels of Performance" updates XPS 15 and 17 laptops

If you were at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 in Las Vegas last month you might have seen these laptops being showcased by Dell, the Dell XPS 15 and 17. Dell have announced that the two models are now available packed with 2nd generations Intel Core chips. The laptops is currently available in the North American, Latin American and the European markets and other markets should expect it in the coming weeks.

Dell Venue now available with T-Mobile and AT&T versions

The Dell Venue is the Android and the non-QWERTY version of the Venue Pro. Announced in the US during CES 2011, the Dell Venue is now available via AT&T and T-Mobile. Dell will cover defective laptops with faulty Intel Chips under warranty terms

Dell, like any other computer manufacturing companies that offered a PC with Intel's faulty chips, will have problems. Dell currently have 4 PCs available with those faulty chips the XPS 8300, Vostro 460, Alienware M17x R3,  and the Alienware Aurora R3. They have logically pulled these models down from Dell.com, meaning they will temporarily stop selling them since Intel's problem is "incurable". To those who already have these PCs Dell has a solution which they will base on their Warranty and Service terms. Unlike, Samsung's full refund program, Dell will not be able to replace those defective motherboards until April (schedule when Intel will release the new chips). Dell Streak 7 to be launched in February 2 for $199 on contract

The Dell Streak 7 which is heading for T-Mobile was announced during CES 2011. The 7" version of the original Dell Streak, which was a 5" tablet, runs on Android 2.2 Froyo and features a dual-core processor. The new tablet also gets Dell's new Android launcher UI, the Dell Stage.

Dell's Alienware M18X announced with updated GPU choices

Dell announced the Alienware M18X gaming laptop. The upcoming laptop is still not available but some preliminary specs are already out in the open with a post from Dell-Lab, which is ran by an engineer working for Dell.

Dell Venue gets official in the US

Yup, this smartphone right here was already announced in South Korea last year in December and it is said to be launched in Hong Kong first before the other markets can get a taste of this Dell offering. This device is the Dell Venue, remember what I said when the word "Pro" is given to a smartphone? It means that the device has a physical QWERTY keyboard. So this means that the Dell Venue is a smartphone unlike the Venue Pro which has a physical vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard. Also, unlike the Venue Pro this smartphone will be running on Android 2.2 Froyo.

Update: Dell have not said anything about when the device will be available and price. With regards to it's availability though Dell does not have a network partner yet so they will be selling the handset over at Dell.com unlocked when the device will be launched in the US - Endgadget
