Google is prepping things for the release of their latest major version of their baby OS, Android 2.3 Gingerbread. While we are all excited for this update to be released and which smartphone or device gets that version of the popular operating system, the Motorola Defy will be getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update next year. In the 2nd quarter of 2011 Motorola is expected to roll out the updates for the Defy.
If you think the time when the update will start rolling out for the Motorola Defy is bad news, then what do you call this kind of news? That the Motorola Milestone XT720 will not get an update and will be literally be stuck with Android 2.1 Eclair. So for the Milestone owners out there, I think you will just have to live with then. What do you think?
