[Local] BlackBerry Torch 9800 officially launched in the Philippines

Local BlackBerry fans this is definitely the BB phone you all have been waiting for! BlackBerry's flagship phone the BlackBerry Torch 9800. Yeah, I know you'd love to read the title if it was "launched" rather than released. At least the wait of it all won't be that long anymore, as with any other releases, launching is next in line.

The BlackBerry Torch might not have been a smartphone that most of us are expecting it to be, but hey, who's gonna stop the BlackBerry fans out there who are all set to buy this smartphone and become their next BlackBerry companion?

The Torch 9800 is different kind of handset that BlackBerry is offering it's customers. The Torch, as most of you might have known, is BlackBerry's first phone to feature a slide out (vertical) QWERTY keyboard, a touchscreen display, and is the first BlackBerry to run on RIM's BlackBerry 6 OS. And yes, let me just say that again, that it's coming in the Philippines.

Unfortunately though, price was not given to the public. Well, we'll just wait for the launching, when it will be available for purchase and see how much this flagship phone costs locally.

Update: Sorry for the wrong use of words. It's actually the launching of the BlackBerry Torch not the release.
