RIM is set to launch their player in the tablet market, the BlackBerry PlayBook. It's the first tablet to be announced that will run with a 1GHz Dual Core processor and 1GB of RAM. RIM also said today that they will be putting the PlayBook in a very competitive position in the market putting a tag price on the tablet that's lesser than $500 ($499). RIM sees Apple's iPad as it's competition, with the new BlackBerry Tablet OS - QNX Neutrino based - and the CPU and RAM of this device might prove to be a good competition for the iPad next year as Apple is expected to release it's second generation of iPads.
