Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet app released

This, I believe, is a first! A Facebook app for tablets! The Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBooky Tablet app is now available at the BlackBerry App World for downloads. The iPad does not have a Facebook app (at least officially) and I think so does the Android tablets (Honeycomb). Anyway, this app right here allows you to chat with your Facebook friends right from your PlayBook, isn't that amazing? I mean no other Facebook app can do that.

BlackBerry PlayBook gets an official Video Chat app

Along with the announcement of the BlackBerry Bold Touch during the Canadian company's BlackBerry World event in Orlando (Monday) is the announcement of the availability of the Video Chat app for the PlayBook. The app is believed to be a new service that BlackBerry might be introducing not only to the tablet but to their smartphones too, according to what BGR thinks. The idea is actually feasible and is logical just like BBM, right? Anyway, the Video Chat app for the PlayBook will be available for free via the BlackBerry App World starting May 3rd. Head over the break to read RIM's press release.
