So, the rumors were correct, Samsung is indeed creating a 10-incher Galaxy Note. The Korean-giant at MWC 2012, announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and like the smaller Galaxy Note, has an S Pen to go along with it. Just like the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), the Galaxy Note 10.1 follows the design aesthetics of the Galaxy Tab 10.1N that was launched in Germany. Anyway, Samsung has already admitted that it has failed to gain a mark in the tablet market with their previous tablet offerings and is hoping that the Galaxy Note 10.1 will change that.

MWC 2012: The Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4.2
Here on TechPump, as I try to keep things organized while keeping you all up to date with the latest developments in the world of tech, will be the first time to report about what Samsung has unveiled at the MWC 2012. This is the Korean-giant's time to shine, although I should warn you that not all of their devices are really shinning. Nevertheless, Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S WiFi 4.2. Apparently, this device will join the ranks of it's older brothers, the Galaxy WiFi 4 & 5. And yes this is an Android smartphone without the phone. Basically a music player? Or you know, like an iPod Touch. But Samsung is giving this device that mobile gaming console kind of treatment stating that it is a device "with powerful gaming on the go."

Apple iPad 3 to be announced on March 7
Before I start, I want you all to know that I have not received any invites for this event, apparently. The photo you see above is courtesy of Mashable. Anyway, the Cupertino-based company has started sending out invites to an iPad event which is bound to happen come March 7, which is exactly a week from now. What to expect? The iPad 3! Although the invite does not say anything about an iPad launching, almost all tech blogs say it is, and by my reckoning, it is also. So, for those who are waiting to see what the iPad 3 will actually look like (I know a lot of you have been reading reports about leaks and rumors about the device) this is the day you have all been waiting, right? I am waiting for this day to happen too and is excited about how the device will look like and will it truly pack a quad-core processor. Mark your calendars guys!

MWC 2012: Nokia announces the Nokia 808 PureView with a 41MP camera
The first time I ever heard about the Mobile World Congress was about two years ago. This is only the 2nd MWC that I ever went by after the day I started blogging about these tech stuffs. I know, two MWCs ain't enough to prove that I know a lot about the event or even talk about its tradition and whatnot. But base on last year's MWC, what I expected, apparently, are smartphones and tablets galore! Androids here and there! And of course, a lot of blogging to do. MWC 2012 did not fail me, my expectation was the same and my goodness did this year pumped out a lot of devices. Well, maybe not too many compared last year but I did not count. Anyway, one particular phone maker at last year's MWC was a bit quiet, Nokia. This year? Well, they have a new CEO, and let me say this again, Nokia is back in business.

MWC 2012: Nokia makes its first LTE smartphone available to the world - Lumia 900
We already know about the Nokia Lumia 900. This device was first announced during CES 2012 exclusively for AT&T (US market) until today. At MWC 2012, aside from announcing the Lumia 610, the Finnish phone maker announced the Lumia 900's global availability. I am not really that sure if the Lumia 900 and AT&T's are the same but regardless if they are the same or not, I will be listing the specs below. The Lumia 900 is scheduled to start shipping by Q2 of 2012 and is priced at €480.

MWC 2012: Nokia expands Asha line announces the Nokia Asha 202 & 203
Nokia at MWC 2012 has announced a lot of devices included in these are the Nokia Asha 202 and the Asha 203. In design, they are no different with dual-sim support for the Asha 202 the only thing that separates the two. Both run on Nokia's proprietary S40 OS which, apparently has already been heavily revamped to look more like that of Symbian Belle or Anna. The said OS will include a faster Nokia Browser allowing for a quick mobile surfing on these devices. Nokia is expected to start shipping the Asha 202 and 203 in Q2 of this year with an estimated retail price of €60.

HTC and DropBox gives 25GB of free online storage on their smartphones
HTC and DropBox has increased the online storage capacity to those who will be getting the new HTC One line of smartphones. As a standard, DropBox will be giving HTC One V, One S, and the One X owners a free 25GB cloud storage which lasts for 2 years when these smartphones will be available in the UK come April.
HTC says yes to microSIMs and no to microSD cards
According to a Pocket-Lint report, the Taiwanese phone maker has started t embrace the microSIM technology in an effort to get more space from the inside of their smartphones. HTC at the MWC 2012 has announced their new line of Android smartphones named the "One" series with 3 of them already announced. These smartphones are the HTC One V, One S, and the One X (which in the US will be called the One XL). Two of these devices with the exemption of the HTC One V will all use microSIMs. Likewise, two of these smartphones with the exemption of the HTC One V, will not support microSD cards (meaning they won't have microSD card slots).
MWC 2012: HTC One X
Now this is something high-end in today's standards. The HTC One X is HTC's first device to sport a quad-core processor. The HTC One X will have a US counterpart which will be launched by AT&T and is named as the HTC One XL and for that I will be creating a different post. This is for the One X which breathes a 1.5GHz nVidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 ICS.

MWC 2012: HTC One S
The second Android smartphone that HTC has in its arsenal at MWC 2012. The HTC One S is not really a high-end smartphone but considering that it sports a dual-core processor and a Super AMOLED display would let us believe that this is high-end but this is just the second "S" line of devices, there is still one S out there.

MWC 2012: The Sony Xperia P
Just for the record, that is not the Xperia S. Although it looks very a like this is actually the newly announced Sony Xperia P which is a smaller version of the Xperia S. The difference between the two, aside from the size, is the choice of material and of course a bit on the inside. Both the Xperia U and the Xperia P are made with aluminum. But as a whole, the 3 smartphones follow the same design aesthetics. Like the Xperia U, the Xperia P will be launched sometime in the Q2 of 2012. Head over the break for the device's specs.

MWC 2012: Sony Mobile Communications unveiled the Sony Xperia U
Sony Mobile Communications at MWC 2012 in Barcelona, Spain announced 2 new addition to their very young Android portfolio. These two smartphones are named the Xperia U and the Xperia P as you can see in the photo above. The Xperia S was first announced back in CES 2012. Sony's Xperia line of devices might follow a signature design, with that very noticeable and very sexy glass cut at the bottom part, but these devices are actually different from each other (a bit). In this post we will be focusing our attention to the smallest of the Xperia NXT line, the Xperia U which may be the smallest but is almost at par with the other Xperias. The Xperia U is scheduled to be launched globally by Q2 of this year.

MWC 2012: The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)
After announcing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) tablet a while back and after unveiling the Galaxy Ace 2 and the Galaxy Mini 2, all of which will be showcased in Barcelona for the MWC2012, the Korean-giant added a 10-incher into it's Galaxy Tab 2 line up. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), as seen in the photo follows the design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1N that the company released in Germany after the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 was banned in the country. The tablet will be available in both the WiFi-only and a 3G-enabled version. Presumably, Samsung will definitely launch this device in the US with 4G LTE in it. You might get disappointed with the device's specs though.

MWC 2012: The Samsung Galaxy Beam is reborn
About two or so years ago, Samsung launched, in Singapore, the Samsung Galaxy Beam. Apparently, it was not launched in the global market, probably because it really did not really penetrate the market much. Today, Samsung is announcing to the world, the Samsung Galaxy Beam. It might carry the same name as the old one but surely it does not share the same design, specs, and whatnot. The device will be showcased in Barcelona during MWC 2012. So, what's with the "beam" all about? As you can see in the photo above, it sports a projector, for sharing videos, photos, and content with friends or whoever.

The Liquid Glow, does not actually glow in the dark but it sure glows in the sense that it is running on Android 4.0 ICS and is positioned in the mid-range price range and targeted for the social-networking youth.

Nokia Philippines made the Asha 300 available in the country with an SRP of Php 4,980. If you still remember the time when Nokia officially unveiled the Asha line of devices a long time ago together with the Lumias, the Asha 300 is the only Asha that does not sport a QWERTY keyboard up front. RIM has rolled out the BlackBerry Playbook OS 2.0 to the company's sole tablet device. The update, which brings in a native email, contacts, and calendar, will be administered over-the-air. By that, your Playbooks should notify you if you already have the software ready for download and should download and install as soon as you get it. Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion - tows in iMessage and Notification Center
Apple has officially released the developer preview of the next iteration of Mac OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion. The most noticeable new stuff in this version of the operating system are the inclusion of iMessage and the Notification Center which are both from iOS and is brought into Mac OS X, which personally makes so much sense. Aside from those two nice features, Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion will also feature Game Center integration, AirPlay Mirroring, improved iCloud support, and Twitter integration among others.
