USA: MetroPCS to make the HTC Wildfire S available this week


US Cellular officially announced the HTC Wildfire S which will be available within this week. MetroPCS is pricing the handset at $179. For those who are interested, the carrier said that you can visit your nearest MetroPCS stores and check out what they have for the handset. They did not explicitly note that the handset will be available with a plan tied to it but I believe it will be. As a refresher, the HTC Wildfire S is the successor to the original Wildfire and features a 3.2" display, a 600MHz processor, Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, HTC Sense, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, 512MB of RAM, and  a 1,230 mAh battery. USA: Virgin Mobile announces the HTC Wildfire S and the LG Optimus Slider

Sprint has announced two new Android smartphone to join their offerings. We already know the HTC Widlfire S since the device was announced a long time ago what I am interested is in the LG Optimus Slider (pictured above) because this is the first time that the phone was announced via a carrier.

USA: US Cellular announces the HTC Hero S, Wildfire S, and the HTC Flyer


US Cellular today announced two new HTC Android smartphones namely the HTC Hero S and the Wildfire S. You know what the Wildfire S already, it's the Hero S we want to know more right? Anyway, if you still are not familiar with the Wildfire S click here to check out the handset's specs. US Cellular also announced the HTC Flyer (click here for specs). With regards to the pricing of these devices, US Cellular is asking $199.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate), $79.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate) for the Wildfire S, and $399.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate for the HTC Flyer all of which requires you to sign a 2-year contract with US Cellular. All of these devices are all tagged as "Coming soon", no exact dates yet.

USA: T-Mobile makes the HTC Wildfire S official to be launched in August 3

T-Mobile have made the coming of the HTC Wildfire S official via a press release. The smartphone, apparently the successor to the original Wildfire, will be launched by T-Mobile when August 3 comes for $80 on contract. The smartphone runs on the latest version of Android, 2.3.3 Gingerbread, and sports a 600MHz processor, a 3.2"TFT LCD touchscreen display, 512MB of RAM, a 5MP rear facing camera, WiFi, and Bluetooth. PHIL: HTC Wildfire S officially launched in the Philippines too! For Php 15,500

Aside from the HTC Sensation, HTC Philippines also launched the smaller Wildfire S in the country for Php 15,500. The HTC Wildfire S is a mid-range smartphone from HTC which also sports Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread like the Sensation but with a smaller touchscreen display and of course lesser specs. But rest assured, the phone will give you a good user experience and will work just fine.

[Updated] PHIL: HTC Sensation to launch in the county on June 15th

The HTC Sensation is the Taiwanese company's latest Android flagship phone which is what they put head on with Samsung's Galaxy S II, which was announced recently by Globe. Anyway, the HTC Sensation is given a launch date too and according to YugaTech's confirmed report, HTC's version of the superphone will be available in the Philippines starting June 15th. HTC is, apparently, pushing to launch their Sensation into the Philippines market way ahead of Samsung's own superphone (June 27th launch with Globe).

PHIL: HTC Wildfire S coming to the Philippines next month too

We already know that HTC's newest Android flagship smartphone is coming to the Philippines next month this post is about a smaller HTC, the Wildfire S. According to Techie, the smartphone is coming too in the Philippines by next month, I am not sure when the exact date will be but they said that it will be launching in the Philippines as early as next week (very early June).

UK: HTC Wildfire S launching in April 27

Announced alongside 2 other Android devices during the Mobile World Congress 2011, the HTC Wildfire S will start selling in the UK tomorrow! Clove announced that the smartphone will be sold starting tomorrow for £199 (£238.80 with VAT) unlocked and SIM-free.

HTC announces the HTC Desire S, Wildfire S, and Incredible S


The quietly brilliant Taiwanese company announced, aside from their tablet, a slurry of Android smartphones refreshing their current line up of phones, basically. Three smartphones were announced at MWC 2011 namely the HTC Incredible S, Desire S, and the Wildfire S. I'll be taking it one at a time.

Expansys listed full specs of the Samsung Galaxy S2, HTC Desire HD2, HTC Desire 2, and HTC Wildfire 2

Expansys, a world wide online retailer for mobile devices have posted full specs of yet to be announced smartphones. The suspects are the Samsung Galaxy S2, HTC Desire HD2, HTC Desire 2, and the HTC Wildfire 2. The only thing I have not heard about until today is the HTC Desire HD2. HTC Wildfire 2 quickly shows up in an HTC commercial


HTC have released a TV commercial that points out to how the company is innovating. Phones of all shapes and sizes were shown in the video but at the first part of it a small Android powered smartphone was shown, and most techblogs said that it is the HTC Wildfire 2. Probably, HTC will be unveiling this little smartphone during MWC 2011, adding it up to their list of devices to showcase during the event. Watch the TV commercial of HTC after the break.
