HTC Flyer in the US started getting Android Honeycomb update

HTC Flyers in Europe have already started getting their Android Gingerbread while the US still waits for it. Finally though, HTC Flyers in the US have also started to get the much awaited update. The update is said to be rolling out to both the WiFi-only version and the 3G-packing one. It is administered OTA, so your Flyers should notify you if a new version of the software is available for download and installation. For those who can't wait, head over to your tablet's settings and try to pull the update from there. Enjoy updating!

UK: HTC Flyer starts receiving Android Honeycomb update

HTC UK has announced over at their Facebook Page that the HTC Flyer in the UK have started receiving the Android Gingerbread update it deserves. The 3G/GSM version of the tablet should already started receiving the said update. The WiFi-only version on the other hand will get the update "soon!"

USA: HTC Flyer is now available from US Cellular for $399.99

US Cellular is now offering or selling the HTC Flyer. It might be late but it is better than never. US Cellular is asking for $399.99 with a 2-year contract and that's for a 5GB data plan. Just a refresher, the HTC Flyer runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and sports a 7" display, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and those kind of stuff.

USA: US Cellular announces the HTC Hero S, Wildfire S, and the HTC Flyer

US Cellular today announced two new HTC Android smartphones namely the HTC Hero S and the Wildfire S. You know what the Wildfire S already, it's the Hero S we want to know more right? Anyway, if you still are not familiar with the Wildfire S click here to check out the handset's specs. US Cellular also announced the HTC Flyer (click here for specs). With regards to the pricing of these devices, US Cellular is asking $199.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate), $79.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate) for the Wildfire S, and $399.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate for the HTC Flyer all of which requires you to sign a 2-year contract with US Cellular. All of these devices are all tagged as "Coming soon", no exact dates yet.

USA: Best Buy now offers the HTC Flyer with a free HTC Scribe digital stylus

HTC made their tablet challenger a bit different from the crop of tablets in the market today by making the HTC Scribe, the digital stylus made specifically for the HTC Flyer. There were two ways you could get the stylus before this news came. First, is to buy the HTC Evo View 4G from Sprint which comes with a free digital stylus or buy the stylus separately from Best Buy. But, like what I have said, this news will make you wanna smile.

IND: HTC Flyer officially launched in India for Rs 39,890

HTC has finally launched their Android powered tablet in the Indian market for Rs 39,890. Before this happened, we already know that the tablet was already being offered by Letsbuy.com for Rs 37,499. I do not know what happened with HTC's pricing but it seems that India will first be getting the 3G capable HTC Flyer and should launch the WiFi only tablet in due time.

PHIL: HTC Flyer comes in the Philippines for Php 36,990

Apparently the HTC Flyer was not included during a launch event by HTC back in where the Taiwan-based phone maker launched the HTC Sensation and the HTC Wildfire S. Their Android tablet challenger is yet to be officially announced, the HTC Flyer. 

IND: HTC Flyer now available in India for Rs. 37,499

The HTC Flyer is now available in India with a price tag of Rs 37,499. The Taiwanese company's 7" tablet challenger runs on Android Gingerbread and not on Honeycomb. Possibly because of HTC Sense. But regardless, the tablet is now available in the Indian subcontinent via a third party retailer.

UK: HTC Flyer is now in stock at Clove

Clove UK have announced that the HTC Flyer is already in stock. Clove is selling the tablet for £599.99  inclusive of tax. For that sum of money you'd be getting the Flyer with a 32GB on-board memory. For those who are in Britain and wants to get their hands on with HTC's first tablet challenger then head over to Clove UK's website and get yourself a Flyer.

USA: Best Buy announced exclusive availability of the HTC Flyer starting May 22

Best Buy have officially announced that starting May 22nd the HTC Flyer (the WiFi only version of Sprint's Evo View 4G) will be available via their standalone stores and at their online store. The Flyer is HTC's first tablet challenger and sports a 7" touchscreen display with a 1.5GHz single-core processor. The tablet is also powered by the Android Gingerbread platform with HTC's Sense UI (of course).

UK: Three UK starts taking pre-orders of the HTC Flyer will ship in May 27

Three UK have started taking pre-orders of the Android powered HTC Flyer (specs). The British carrier is putting a £169 upfront cost of the tablet which will come with a 2-year agreement with a monthly payment of £30.99. That agreement between you and Three UK will come with a 15GB traffic which actually sounds good and is way more than any other carriers in Europe is offering.  

HTC Flyer now available in Europe

The HTC Flyer has officially been launched in the European market with both the 3G and WiFi only models of the tablet being sold. The Taiwanese company's first tablet Android challenger is now available in the following countries across Europe: UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania.

USA: Best Buy puts the HTC Flyer Digital Stylus' price at $79.99

HTC's tablet challenger the HTC Flyer is a different kind of tablet among all other Android powered tablets out there that were recently announced. The Flyer is not a Honeycomb device and aside from that fact, it features a digital stylus that HTC is trying to prove relevant when you have the tablet. Of course the stylus was also announced but until now HTC have not put any price tag on the stylus since it will be sold separately. But Best Buy has something to tell us with regards to this dilemma.

USA: HTC Flyer now available for pre-order at Best Buy

The HTC Flyer, the WiFi version of the HTC Evo View 4G, will be exclusively offered by Best Buy in the US. Starting today, April 24th, Best Buy is already availabel for "pre-sale", probably meaning pre-orders. The tablet is already available for pre-order across the pond and today the US too gets it's share of the pre-order of it all stuff. HTC is putting a very lovable price on the WiFi only device, which will retail for $449.

HTC Flyer to launch in Europe on May 9th

During HTC's event in London, where they unveiled the new HTC Sensation, the company have announced that the HTC Flyer's launch in Europe. The company have stated that their 7-inch Android tablet challenger will be launched in the European market on May 9th.

UK: Carphone Warehouse and Clove puts the HTC Flyer on pre-order for £599.99

HTC's first Android tablet, the HTC Flyer, is being offered by Clove and  Carphone Warehouse on pre-order. The two third-party retailers are putting the same price tag on the device which will both be pre-ordered for £599.99 (tax included). 

HTC confirms the Flyer will get Android 3.0 Honeycomb

HTC via a tweet have confirmed that their tablet challenger, the HTC Flyer, will eventually get an Android 3.0 Honeycomb update. The tablet which was announced back in MWC 2011, will run on the Gingerbread version of the Android platform.

HTC Flyer's official video tells you why you should have it

HTC have finally released on their YouTube channel the video of their very first tablet challenger, the HTC Flyer or the HTC Evo View 4G (Sprint). The Flyer features a 1.5GHz single-core processor, running on Android 2.4 Gingerbread with of course HTC's popular Sense UI (latest). Other stuff in it includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and all the major necessity a tablet needs. But that is not what the video just shows us but it also features the HTC Flyer's Scribe technology, the pen, and more features that it holds!

HTC Flyer WiFi only version will be exclusive at Best Buy

So if you get the HTC tablet at Sprint it's be named the HTC Evo View 4G but if you buy it not from Sprint (apparently only at Best Buy) it'd be named the HTC Flyer. Anyway, Best Buy have announced on Tuesday that they will be exclusively selling the WiFi version of the HTC Flyer. For those who wants the HTC tablet without the 4G fuss and the montly bills from Sprint then you can only get it at Best Buy for an undisclosed price.

HTC Evo 3D and HTC View 4G confirmed to be unveiled at CTIA 2011

I posted about this two devices rumored to be unveiled by Sprint at CTIA 2011. The Nexus S 4G was already made official and today the HTC Evo 3D and the View 4G should be next in line. Sprint have not done their event yet in Florida but for sure, these devices including the Nexus S 4G will be showcased and will be unveiled.
