Sprint has announced two new Android smartphone to join their offerings. We already know the HTC Widlfire S since the device was announced a long time ago what I am interested is in the LG Optimus Slider (pictured above) because this is the first time that the phone was announced via a carrier.
This is not actually the first time we heard about the smartphone, it was first announced by Sprint back in July and they just gave us an intro about it. Unfortunately, I could not find the full detailed specs of the LG Optimus Slider. I wlll just list down the specs that the press release from Sprint and Virgin Mobile USA provided.
LG Optimus Slider specs:
- Android 3.2 Gingerbread
- 3.2" HVGA (320x480) touchscreen display
- Physical sliding QWERTY keyboard
- WiFi
- Bluetooth 3.0
- microSD card support for up to 32GB of external storage
- 3.2MP rear facing camera
- 3.5mm headset jack
- 1,500 mAh battery
The Optimus Slider will cost $199.99 without contract and should be available online over at Virgin Mobile USA's website on October 17. RadioShack and Best Buy will also be offering the handset on October 31 and on November 7th over at Target. Sprint will also be offering the same handset at their stores on November 13.
