US Cellular officially announced the HTC Wildfire S which will be available within this week. MetroPCS is pricing the handset at $179. For those who are interested, the carrier said that you can visit your nearest MetroPCS stores and check out what they have for the handset. They did not explicitly note that the handset will be available with a plan tied to it but I believe it will be. As a refresher, the HTC Wildfire S is the successor to the original Wildfire and features a 3.2" display, a 600MHz processor, Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, HTC Sense, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, 512MB of RAM, and a 1,230 mAh battery.
