HTC has finally launched their Android powered tablet in the Indian market for Rs 39,890. Before this happened, we already know that the tablet was already being offered by Letsbuy.com for Rs 37,499. I do not know what happened with HTC's pricing but it seems that India will first be getting the 3G capable HTC Flyer and should launch the WiFi only tablet in due time.
We already know that HTC took a different route with their tablet since they have put the Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS in it and decided not to go with Honeycomb. The tablet also runs on HTC's latest Sense 3.0 UI but this tablet gets a bit different Sense compared to that one of the HTC Sensation (tablet specific but of the same version).
The tablet is expected to be updated to a higher version of the Android platform but not Honeycomb. The tablet is said to jump immediately to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will be it's first major update, I believe.
