HTC confirms the Flyer will get Android 3.0 Honeycomb

HTC via a tweet have confirmed that their tablet challenger, the HTC Flyer, will eventually get an Android 3.0 Honeycomb update. The tablet which was announced back in MWC 2011, will run on the Gingerbread version of the Android platform.

The tweet was in response of a question if the tablet will be getting Honeycomb. HTC's response went like this (see photo).

HTC has put on their 7" Android tablet the HTC Sense UI and I believe that was the reason why they opt for the Gingerbread version of Android instead of Honeycomb, maybe to save time in creating the UI on Honeycomb.

The tablet will be offered by Sprint, named as the HTC Evo View 4G, and WiFi version of the tablet named, HTC Flyer, will be exclusive over at Best Buy.
