CTIA 2011 will be happening on March 22 in Florida, USA. We already have one event that should be watched, Samsung's Unpacked (Special Episode) where we should see the Galaxy Tab 8 (8-incher tablet) unveiled. Sprint is also bringing something at the event. Surprisingly, Sprint have booked a 2-and-a-half-hour slot at CTIA, why?
Sprint might be announcing 3 devices during the event namely, the Nexus S (with WiMax), the Evo 3D, and the Evo View.
"we're hearing that the carrier will launch the Nexus S 4G from Samsung, and judging from the name, the phone should be something akin to a Nexus S with WiMAX. It seems this one could be either the SPH-D600 or SPH-D720, both of which have recently received certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance, though the SPH-D720 is more likely; the D600 shows WPS support, which is available in TouchWiz-skinned devices but not in stock Gingerbread. You might recall that Sprint came very, very close to launching its own version of the Nexus One before dropping it in favor of the EVO 4G last year, so maybe they're ready to do the deed this time." - Endgadget
The Evo 3D will, apparently, be a 3D capable device. I wonder what this device could be. Is HTC prepping a 3D smartphone? So far, LG is the only mobile phone manufacturer that has 3D stuff in it with their LG Optimus 3D. That phone is going to T-Mobile not Sprint. And the Evo View which is a tablet and probably the HTC Flyer with CDMA capabilities.
These are all rumors though, we need to wait until Sprint finally announces something at the event just to make everything official and real.
