HTC Flyer to launch in Europe on May 9th

During HTC's event in London, where they unveiled the new HTC Sensation, the company have announced that the HTC Flyer's launch in Europe. The company have stated that their 7-inch Android tablet challenger will be launched in the European market on May 9th.

HTC have finally released on their YouTube channel the video of their very first tablet challenger, the HTC Flyer or the HTC Evo View 4G (Sprint). The Flyer features a 1.5GHz single-core processor, running on Android 2.4 Gingerbread with of course HTC's popular Sense UI (latest). Other stuff in it includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and all the major necessity a tablet needs. But that is not what the video just shows us but it also features the HTC Flyer's Scribe technology, the pen, and more features that it holds!

Vodafone UK puts the HTC Desire S on pre-order to launch in April 8

The HTC Desire S, the successor to the popular HTC Desire, was announced during the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Spain. The phone is scheduled to be launched by Vodafone UK in April 8th. Currently, the network is also taking pre-orders from interested customers of the said smartphone.

HTC Flyer tablet now up for pre-order in the UK for £600

HTC announced their first tablet device during the Mobile World Congress 2011. Their tablet is somehow unique from those Android 3.0 tables that were announced. Those sport dual-core processors, large display (usually at 10 inches), and of course they all run on Android 3.0 Honeycomb. 

HTC Desire S to arrive in the UK within March - earlier than expected

The HTC Desire S is apparently the successor of the HTC Desire. The handset will be available from Amazon UK in April 18 and Three UK will be have the device in stock in May. HTC Flyer WiFi only version pops up in Germany for 499 Euros

Since the announcement and unveiling of HTC's first ever tablet device, the Flyer, during MWC 2011, it did not came with a price tag. But we already saw this device over at Amazon Germany up for pre-orders and is priced at 699 Euros. For tablet devices it seems that a WiFi only version is common or is a norm already. HTC is not excused for releasing a WiFi only version of the HTC Flyer.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread a Nexus S exclusive other handsets will be updated directly to 2.4

Rumors have it that the 2.3 version of Android, named Gingerbread, is a Nexus S exclusive and that other handsets that are waiting for the 2.3 Gingerbread blessing will never get it instead they will be directly updated to 2.4 Gingerbread.

Amazon Germany prices the HTC Flyer for €669 now for pre-orders

Announced without a price at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Spain, the HTC Flyer is now listed on Amazon Germany's site for pre-orders for €669. TechRadar, being a UK based techblog have done some conversions with the price to UK pounds and the tablet will cost £563. Not at all bad, knowing that devices and gadgets are far more expensive in the UK.

HTC Flyer announced a 7" Android 2.4 Gingerbread device

And I thought HTC will be going silent at MWC 2011 (an impossibility). They have announced, I think, the most devices at the event in Barcelona, Spain. Of course, there are smartphones too but the first device I want to blog about is the HTC Flyer. Finally, the Taiwanese company's tablet challenger. Android 2.4 to be released in April ViewSonic one of the first to launch

Well, according to reports from Pocket-lint, Google is preparing to release Android 2.4 Gingerbread in April. You ask, why is it still called Gingerbread? The answer, to create a division between Google's two distinctively different platforms (for tablets and smartphones) Android 2.4 Gingerbread will be the last Android version for smartphones before the Android OS (both for smartphones and tablets) will come together as one, well, I think that's what Google wants in the future.
