Twitter updates Twitter for BlackBerry app

Twitter released a new version of their BlackBerry app which brings in lots of new features that should have been in the app a long time ago. But any, at least Twitter did something. The newest version of Twitter for BlackBerry will now automatically shrink links when you tweet and insert a link on it. Also, you can upload photos right from the application using Twitter's in-house photo upload service (pic.twitter.com). As a last touch to this new version, you can now connect your Twitter account with BBM! Excited? Download Twitter for BlackBerry now from the BlackBerry World.

Angry Birds comes to the BlackBerry PlayBook

To everyone who owns a BlackBerry PlayBook! Good news is here for you during the Holidays! Rovio has now made the popular Angry Birds game available to the tablet. The three version of the game namely, Angry Birds, Angry Birds Rio,  and Angry Birds Seasons are all available over at the BlackBerry App World. Each is priced at $4.99 so for those who wants to get those birds flying in their PlayBooks download the games now!

BBM Music officially launched

BBM Music is officially launched and is now available for download from the BlackBerry App World. BlackBerry aims to make your BlackBerry device the only music player you will ever need with BBM Music. With your BBM Music account you can store up to 50 music tracks and listen to them. That is it, only 50 music tracks but the thing is, if you have a lot of friends who use BBM Music and has music stored in their own account, you can access their music and listen to them too, in full. It sounds a bit confusing but there's a video to make this thing a bit more understandable.

BlackBerry Messenger 6.0.1 now available for download

RIM released and made the BlackBerry Messenger 6.0.1. The said update is now available for download over at the BlackBerry App World. The update includes new features that will make it easier to share and discover new apps from the App World right inside BBM. For those who has not yet updated their BBMs head over to the App World and download it now.

BlackBerry App World 3.0 is now available for download

BlackBerry have released BlackBerry App World 3.0 and is now available for download. The update comes with a new layout and anew design to the App World. One very noticeable addition is the new way for you to discover new apps, games, and themes (photo). BlackBerry App World 3.0 is available from BB OS 5.0 and higher and you should get a notification about a new version of it..

Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 brings in Facebook Places and Events into the app

Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 was released to bring in two new things into the app. First, this version of the Facebook app will bring in Facebook Places, allowing you to check-in to places you've been and see who are at the place and also view comments on that specific place. The second thing that this version of the app brings in is Facebook Events, and just like Facebook Events on the web version of Facebook, the app will now be able to allow you to view events, view events that you were invited and RSVP an event, and also view comments on the event's wall. BlackBerry Tablet OS update (ver. 1.0.5) released - Facebook app for BlackBerry also updated

RIM have released an update to their BlackBerry Tablet OS. Version 1.0.5 is now available for BlackBerry PlayBook owners and includes a lot of new stuff in it. The update is available via the BlackBerry App World and with this version the world's first (until now is the only) tablet device with an official Facebook app. Anyway, I will be listing you some of the new features included in the 1.0.5 update for the PlayBook's OS.

Twitter for BlackBerry version 2.0 gets out from beta

Twitter for BlackBerry 2.0 was originally available at the Beta Zone, obviously as a beta app. BlackBerry have now released that same app for the general public. Yes, it is out of its beta phase. The app brings a lot of new stuff into your Twitter experience using your BlackBerry smartphone. It promises a simplified navigation and faster searching. 

BlackBerry launches the Twitter for BlackBerry v1.1

BlackBerry have launched and made it available to the public the latest version of their Twitter for BlackBerry app. Version 1.1 of the app comes with, as usual, of improvements and UI tweaks here and there. As an overview, version 1.1, adds a new feature to users like adding a location on your Tweets and Push @Mentions. The app is available over at the BlackBerry App World. BlackBerry notes that the application should be available in the next 24hrs and if you do not see the app there yet just keep on checking it back.

BlackBerry requires everyone to upgrade their BlackBerry App World client

BlackBerry, apparently, have upgraded their BlackBerry App World client. Unfortunately, not all BB users have upgraded yet. So they are now requiring all BB users who have not yet updated their BB World App client to version 2.0 or higher.

BlackBerry PlayBook to officially run Android apps

Why are apps important? Well, for most, they are the life blood of a mobile device these days. Most would rather choose a device that would and could run more apps than the competition can. With these kind announcements it would considerably increase the number of apps, obviously, that the BlackBerry PlayBook can run.
