PHIL: BlackBerry PlayBook pre-order now live over at Smart


Ok, here is the deal. When Techie reported about the BlackBerry Playbook's pre-order status over at Smart, I did not blog about it immediately because the link they posted was still not yet available or it was still down. Until I checked it earlier. The site or the page is now officially up and you can now sign up if you want to pre-order RIM's tablet challenger.

BlackBerry Colt RIM's first QNX-based smartphone?


The BlackBerry PlayBook is RIM's first QNX-based device after acquiring QNX. After that they have promised that they will soon be launching a smartphone running on the QNX OS in the near future. Anyway, BGR, have acquired information about RIM's first QNX-based smartphone. Codenamed, BlackBerry Colt, it is expected to really put RIM/BlackBerry back to where they were before, competing competitively in the market

IND: BlackBerry PlayBook launched in India


RIM have launched their tablet challenger into the Indian market. The BlackBerry PlayBook is a 7" tablet that runs on the QNX based OS and is a tablet that packs the specs to challenge any other tablets right now in the market. Anyway, the BlackBerry PlayBook will be selling in India with a price tag of Rs. 27,990 for the 16GB WiFi only version. The other PlayBook that sports the 32GB and the 64GB will be selling for Rs 32,990 and Rs. 37,990 respectively.

USA: Tomorrow! April 19th the BlackBerry PlayBook will land on the Earth!


Tomorrow ladies and Gents, yup! Tomorrow, the BlackBerry PlayBook is launching in the US. The launch event they had back in April 14 was just to say that they are really gonna launch the tablet but not on that date and April 19 is the actual date, and since that is tomorrow I believe a lot of you would want to go to the stores who announced that they will be offering the PlayBook and get one for yourself.

USA: Best Buy to launch the BlackBerry PlayBook on April 19th pre-order now


BestBuy, via Facebook have invited people to their BlackBerry PlayBook launch event which will be happening on April 19th. Today, you can pre-order the tablet from the retailer starting from $499.99. Best Buy will be the third retailer to offer the PlayBook in the US market along side with Office Depot and Staples.

USA: Staples starts taking your pre-orders on the BlackBerry PlayBook


The BlackBerry PlayBook is expected to be launched in April 14th during BlackBerry's event to be held in New York City. Until the date when it will be launched, Staples is putting the tablet on pre-order on their website for $499.99.

QNX + BlackBerry OS 6.1 = BlackBerry OS 7?


Currently, the only device that is and will be running on BlackBerry's QNX-based platform is the soon to be launched BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Then people ask, will the QNX OS ever gonna be brought to BlackBerry smartphones and eventually replace BlackBerry OS?

BlackBerry OS 7.0 in BlackBerry 2011 roadmap


Look at that! 2011 is a year filled with BlackBerry updates! We've been hearing a lot from the Canadian based company regarding phones that are yet to be announced. You know, the BB Dakota/Montana, Storm 3, Apollo/Sedona, and the Torch 2. The leaks came from N4BB which shows us a lot of stuff coming for this year including BB OS 7.0!

BlackBerry Playbook to launch in April 10?


BlackBerry's Playbook was announced but did not have an exact date when it will actually be launched. When the device was unveiled by the Canadian company they said that it will be available in early 2011, still that does not point to an exact date or even month. Multiple sources told BGR that the tablet will actually be launched in April 10th, that's more like it. Although unconfirmed, we'll hope that RIM's tablet challenger will see the light of day on the said date. It'd be a bummer if it didn't.

RIM rep says PlayBook will support Android Apps


Well, what do we have hear? A video taken during the Mobile World Congress 2011 and is just discovered to contain valuable information. The guy you hear talking is a RIM representative at the BlackBerry booth at MWC 2011. The representative said that the BlackBerry PlayBook will be supporting Android Apps, in short, it will be running apps intentionally made for Android.

QNX Will Eventually Replace The BlackBerry OS

During RIM's Developer Conference, RIM has introduced to the world the BlackBerry PlayBook, BlackBerry's Tablet challenger. Aside from that announcement RIM, have said that the tablet will not run on BlackBerry OS but rather will run on QNX Tablet OS.
