UK: BlackBerry PlayBook available for pre-orders in the UK starting at £399 will ship in June 16

The BlackBerry PlayBook is now available via pre-order in the UK. Like what RIM said, they will be pricing the tablet competitively with the iPad so the cheapest PlayBook in the UK will cost £399. CarPhone Warehouse . On it's launching and shipping date, June 16, Best Buy will be joining CarPhone Warehouse in selling the tablet. For now, if you want to pre-order the device in the UK then CarPhone Warehouse is where you wanna go.

Pricing of the PlayBook looks like this. The 16GB WiFi only PlayBook will cost you £399, the 32GB WiFi only will be £479 and the 64GB WiFi only will be priced at £559.

With regards to the 3G version of the PlayBook it is still unclear which carrier will be offering it or when that version of the device will come to the UK. For now it seems the WiFi only version of the tablet is set to be launched in the British shores.
