[Update] Samsung unveils Exynos 5250 dual-core chipset clocked at 2GHz


Samsung has unveiled their next iteration of the Samsung Exynos chipsets which we have come to see and experience with the Korean phone maker's Galaxy S II smartphones. The Exynos 5250 is a dual-core chipset that has 2 ARM Cortex-A15 chips in it that are both clocked at 2GHz each. The GPU of this chipset, according to Samsung, is 4X faster when compared to ARM Cortex-A9 based application processors. The GPU on the Exynos 5250 is capable of supporting stereoscopic 3D displays and can output up to 2560x1600 (WQXGA) resolutions. Samsung is expecting to mass produce these chips in Q2 of 2012.

Samsung Galaxy S II's 7th commercial released talks about dual-core


Samsung's goal is to out sell the first Galaxy S with their latest Android flagship phone, the Galaxy S II. How to do it? Well, aside from the fact that they have created a phone that is very powerful and is no doubt the best to date, they are also trying to advertise the phone with various video ads. Texas Instruments announces 1.8GHz multi-core processor for Windows 8


Microsoft made a lot of friends, didn't they? Well, another silicon manufacturer in the block that is also collaborating with the next version of Windows is Texas Instruments. If Qualcomm and nVidia are in the game, so does TI. Well, its natural. This would definitely mean more choices for the consumers which is all good, right?

Qualcomm's 3rd gen Snaprdragon processor gets demoed - 1.5GHz dual-core!

The company unveiled their 3rd generation Snapdragon processor during the CES 2011 in Las Vegas. Today though they showcased their Qualcomm Snaprdragon MSM8660 dual-core chipset. The processor is dual-core and can rev up to 1.5GHz. Aside from that the chipset includes their newest GPU, the Adreno 220 which will allows devices to playback true HD videos in 1080p right on your device! Lenovo's next generation Android ThinkPad gets leaked



Remember the Lenovo IdeaPad U1 with LePad Slate? This tablet right here that is leaked, looks a lot like the hybrid. But this is different, they say. This is the next generation. So what's with this tablet (or hybrid)? This tablet  will be running on Android 3.0 Honeycomb and will also be equipped with an nVidia Tegra 2 processor. It will also be packed with an IPS display with a 1280 x 800 screen resolution, capative pens for writing, USB 2.0, microUSB, mini HDMI ports, and a full size SD card slot.

PHIL: LG Optimus 2X coming to the Philippines by May


Just think of it this way. This is LG's way of saying that they are ready for the smartphone market in the Philippines. That is not just any order smartphone market but it's the high-end market. With their announcement of the LG Optimus 2X. LG Philippines is scheduled to launch the said device in the Philippines by May, no exact dates given so as the pricing. We will just have to wait for that.

The Samsung Galaxy S II gets a commercial!


Oh no she didn't! She actually did! But Samsung is quick to note (in the video) that the phone ain't waterproof. Anyway, this is the first commercial of the Samsung Galaxy S II that hit the internet. Uploaded by Sammy, the video showcases the "vivid" Super AMOLED Plus display of the handset. Ok, the video is posted after the break so get along now. This is just the official announcement of the newest most powerful HTC smartphone to ever land on the surface of the Earth! The HTC Sensation 4G announced, during HTC's April 2011 Event in London is the company's first dual-core smartphone and the first to feature the latest HTC Sense UI. Samsung scheduled to launch the Galaxy S II in South Korea in April 25th


After all the talks about this superphone, the Samsung Galaxy S II, which makes it the most talked about phone this month, it is said that the next iteration of the popular Galaxy S (GT-i9000) will first be launched on it's home turf. On April 25th, Samsung will be launching the superphone in South Korea. This news comes after every news possible we can get with this device.



Samsung Galaxy S photos updated to distinguish which gets the 1.2GHz processor?


So what's up with this? Photos getting updated or the device's design updated to make things more distinguishable? I have not noticed this and maybe you too. In my previous posts about the Galaxy S II, the photos like this here has a different photo than those with my more recent posts like this post here. Noticed the difference? Nope?

Samsung Galaxy S II confirmed to ship with 1.2GHz dual-core processor?


I posted this blog because it was uncertain for me if the Galaxy S II will be shipping with that alleged 1.2GHz processor. When they announced the device during the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Spain, they demoed the device and said that it will be sporting a powerful 1GHz dual-core processor. Then it was said that some Galaxy S IIs will be stuffed with an nVidia Tegra 2 chip with the others with Samsung's own Exynos processor. Then news came that the launching of the device will be delayed because it will be receiving more power from it's processor, said to be clocked at 1.2GHz and still dual-core.

T-Mobile puts a release date on the T-Mobile G2X



When T-Mobile made the T-Mobile G2X, their version of the LG Optimus 2X, official it did not have the time or date it will be launched nor the price tag it will be carrying. Today, though, T-Mobile USA have announced via Twitter that the T-Mobile G2X will be released soon. To be more specific, it will become available online on April 15th and on retail stores on April 20th

Samsung Electronics announced the Galaxy S II to be launched in April "as planned"


It was just a few moments ago that I posted about the Galaxy S II not making it's April launched as announced during the unveiling of the device back in the Mobile World Congress 2011. My last post was supported by Samsung Mobiles' Twitter account which tweeted saying that the Galaxy S II will be delayed. But it did not take long for Samsung Electronics to tweet the other stuff.

Expansys now offers the LG Optimus 2X



In the UK, the LG Optimus 2X is now available over at Expansys! This is the first of the slew of the new term called for phones, Superphones, because it has dual-core power in it. Expansys now lists the superphone for £449.99. That price is apparently for a SIM-free and unlocked Optimus 2X. Exanpansys also allows interested buyers to tie this phone with T-Mobile UK, Vodafone UK, and other network carriers.

LG Optimus 2X now available in the UK


The world's first dual-core powered smartphone, the LG Optimus 2X, is now available in the UK! The phone was first launched on it's home turf in South Korea and then the Aussies were next to get it. In the US, it will be called the T-Mobile G2X. Today, the Brits gets the chance to get the smartphone as it is now and have arrived on their shores.

LG Optimus 2X officially launches in Australia



Yup, the phone is already available in the Australian market. We've already heard about the LG Optimus 2X to be launched in the land down under. The phone first broke into the light in it's home turf in South Korea, already available for pre-order in the UK, and will be heading to the US shores via T-Mobile and will be known as the T-Mobile G2X. Today, Australia is the next country to be getting it.

Best Buy puts the Motorola Xoom on pre-orders


So, here it goes for pre-orders, the Motorola Xoom. You can now pre-order the Android 3.0 Honecomb, dual-core tablet from Best Buy for $799.99. That price is for the 3G and WiFi version the WiFi only version will come later this year. Anyway, the device is said to arrive at Best Buy in Thursday (Feb 24th).
