[Update] Samsung unveils Exynos 5250 dual-core chipset clocked at 2GHz

Samsung has unveiled their next iteration of the Samsung Exynos chipsets which we have come to see and experience with the Korean phone maker's Galaxy S II smartphones. The Exynos 5250 is a dual-core chipset that has 2 ARM Cortex-A15 chips in it that are both clocked at 2GHz each. The GPU of this chipset, according to Samsung, is 4X faster when compared to ARM Cortex-A9 based application processors. The GPU on the Exynos 5250 is capable of supporting stereoscopic 3D displays and can output up to 2560x1600 (WQXGA) resolutions. Samsung is expecting to mass produce these chips in Q2 of 2012. 

UK: Confirmed UK will be getting the Samsung Galaxy S II with the Exynos processor

Remember the blog post I published regarding the device's confirmation about it's processor? It's already been talked about, since we knew that some GS IIs (Galaxy S II) will be shipping with the nVidia Tegra 2 processor and those are just 1GHz dual-core chips. The newly announced and pumped up version of GS II is confirmed to be sporting the 1.2Ghz dual-core processor. But Samsung have already confirmed that the UK and the Indian markets will be getting the 1.2Ghz powered GS II.

Samsung Galaxy S II will be delayed until June to get a 1.2GHz dual-core processor

I do not know if you will be taking this news as something good or something bad. First, is that Samsung announced via a tweet (see photo after the break) that the global launching of the next iteration of the most popular Android device (Galaxy S I) will be delayed until June. The received the world's spotlight during it's unveiling at the Mobile World Congress 2011 where Samsung demoed all it's features and capability. Also this will be Samsung's first dual-core powered smartphone and yet it is still not available anywhere in the world today.

[Updated] Samsung to stuff nVidia Tegra 2 processor into some Galaxy S II phones

Endgadget have confirmed via their "own sources" that Samsung will be inserting an nVidia Tegra 2 processor into some of the new Galaxy S II. The next iteration to the Galaxy S was announced with Samsung's own dual-core processor called the Exynos at the Mobile World Congress 2011.

The latest post I had for the Samsung Galaxy S2 "Seine" which will be unveiled and showcased during MWC 2011 in Spain says that it will be powered by a dual-core processor made by Samsung named Orion. In a Press Release, the Korean giant confirmed the real name of the new processors that they will be stuffing into the Galaxy S2 as the Samsung Exynos processor.
