Acer Iconia Tab A500 (or A501) gets Android 3.2 Honeycomb update

The Acer Iconia Tab A500 or the A501 is reported to have started receiving the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update in Poland. Android 3.2 Honeycomb is expected to bring in a lot of performance enhancement into the OS and security and bug fixes. The update is also expected to be coming via OTA, so a notification will inform you if it is ready for your device.

PHIL: Acer Iconia Tab A500 now available for Php 21,990

The Philippines second Honeycomb tablet is now selling for Php 21,990. According to YugaTech, Villman is alsready selling the tablet for the said price. The Iconia Tab A500 is acer's first Honeycomb challenger and sports a 10.1" touchscreen display powered by a 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 processor. The 21,990 pesos tag price is for the 16GB WiFi only version of the tablet if you wish to get the 32GB variant Villman will be asking you Php 23,892 which is still a price lesser than that of Apple's iPad 2 16GB WiFi only version.

USA: Acer Iconia Tab A500 now available at Best Buy for $450

Already selling in the UK, Acer's own challenger to the tablet market, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 running on Android 3.0 Honeycomb, is now available in the US via Best Buy. Announced to be available in the US, the tablet finally makes it's way into the US market for just $450 no contract.

UK: Acer Iconia Tab A500 now available for £449.99

After being announced in the US market, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 is now available in the UK. Dixons is currently taking your orders of the tablet for £449.99. As a refresher, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 sports the 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, Android 3.0 Honeycomb, a 10.1" WXGA touch screen display, 1GB of RAM, and the necessities like Bluetooth, WiFi and a 5MP rear facing camera. Acer announces the Acer Iconia Tab A500 in the US - to launch in April 24th for $449.99

Isn't that magnificent? It's a beauty isn't it? Acer have announced the availability and pricing of their first Android 3.0 tablet challenger in the US. To be launched in April 24th for only $449.99 without contracts. Amazed? Well it's the WiFi-only version of the tablet which will be sold exclusively by Best Buy on the said date. Also, it will be available online.

AT&T announced the Acer Iconia Tab A501

AT&T announced on Tuesday that they will be offering and launching the Acer Iconia Tab A501. We have already seen this 10" Android powered tablet from Acer when it was unveiled a year ago. AT&T is expected to launch the tablet in Summer. No details yet on the pricing of the device.

Acer officially gives gigantic smartphone a name! Acer Iconia Smart with Iconia Tab A100

The smartphone sporting a gigantic 4.8" display was announced last year and it never had a name. It runs on the Android ecosystem (Yeah, I'm liking that term), and finally at the Mobile World Congress 2011, the Taiwanese has finally given it a name, the Acer Iconia Smart (which will nicely be part of Acer's Iconia devices).

Acer flaunts the Iconia and the Iconia Tab A500 in a video - "4.8" tablet?

Announced by Acer last year in November, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 is the company's answer to the onslaught of tablets to the global market. Although, it has not yet been launched globally, the device gets a promotional video. 

Acer Iconia Tab A500 with support to Verizon's LTE network

Remember back in November of 2010 when Acer showed off their Android powered tablet? Well, they have just announced it and is called the Acer Iconia Tab A500. The tablet will support Verizon's LTE 4g network and will apparently hit Verizon's store shelves. The newly announced tablet features a 10.1" touch screen display, nVidia Tegra 2 processor (means it's dual-core), and a gyroscope. Acer did not mention anything about the tablet's screen resolution but base on my previous post about this device is that it will be sporting a cool 1280 x 800 pixel reso. No word too on how much the tablet will cost and when it will be available.
