USA: AT&T gives the 4G-capable Acer Iconia Tab A501 a date and a price

The 4G-capable Acer Iconia Tab A501 has been given a price tag and a date by AT&T. On September 18th, the carrier is scheduled to launch the said tablet with a price tag of $330 with a 2-year contract. AT&T will also be offering the Android Honeycomb tablet without any contracts which will require you to pay $480 with 16GB of internal storage.

Acer Iconia Tab A500 (or A501) gets Android 3.2 Honeycomb update

The Acer Iconia Tab A500 or the A501 is reported to have started receiving the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update in Poland. Android 3.2 Honeycomb is expected to bring in a lot of performance enhancement into the OS and security and bug fixes. The update is also expected to be coming via OTA, so a notification will inform you if it is ready for your device.

UK: The 3G enabled Acer Iconia Tab A501 is now available in the UK for £534

Of course, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 has a 3G enabled brother bearing the model number A501. The tablet is now officially available in the UK, before it gets the chance to sell in the US. Anyway, the Iconia Tab A501 will be carrying the same innards that the A500 is carrying (specs) but with the addition of network connectivity. Currently, Clove is selling the tablet for £534 VAT inclusive.
