USA: T-Mobile Springboard and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 gets a launch date

T-Mobile USA announced recently that they will be launching two 4G tablets namely the T-Mobile Springboard and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 but when they did announce the devices it came without a launch date. But, we got that bit of info now. T-Mobile has officially given  us the dates when these tablets will be available. The photo you see above is the Springboard, apparently, it will be available starting Nov. 16. For the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 it will be available starting November 2.

Toshiba announced the world's thinnest tablet at 7.7mm thin - Toshiba AT200

Toshiba at IFA 2011 have unveiled the world's thinnest tablet ever, the Toshiba AT200. Who thought that Samsung won't be debunked from this position, well Toshiba just out did them. The AT200 is the thinnest tablet around at only 7.7mm thin compared to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9/10.1's 8.6mm thinness and is running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

HTC Jetstream gets officially announced coming to AT&T on September 4 for $700

AT&T's first 4G LTE/HSPA+ capable tablet, the HTC Jetstrea, gets officially announced. AT&T will be offering the tablet for $699.99 with a 2-year contract starting September 4th. This tablet is the HTC Puccini that was leaked and rumored a while back. Now for the pricing, yeah its an eye-popper, but that's how the cookie crumbles. Samsung officially announces the Galaxy S II LTE and the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE

The Korean-giant, Samsung, have announced and made two devices official and will be added into the company's large Android smartphone and tablet portfolio. The Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE. Both devices will be showcased and will get a proper unveiling to the public during the IFA 2011 in Berlin. The specs are limited and pricing is not even mentioned in Samsung's official press release. So, we just have to be satisfied with what we have today.

Samsung Philippines has made the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy S WiFi 5 available for pre-order. To add icing on the cake, they are offering 700 units of the Galaxy Tab 10.1s and 400 units of the Galaxy WiFi 5 on a discounted pre-order. When you pre-order today, you can get the world's finest Android tablet for only ₱26,990 and it will come with a Samsung leather case. The 5-inch iPod Touch Android competitor, the Galaxy S WiFi 5 will be available for only ₱12,990. Although the Galaxy S WiFi 5's pre-order price ain't discounted, Samsung is nonetheless throwing in Urbanears headset worth over ₱2,000 for free.

IND: [Updated] Samsung announces Galaxy Tab 750 and 730 in India

Samsung in India have announced two tablets for the Indian market which is scheduled to be launched by the end of this month and by next month. These tablets, called the Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 ad the 730 are actually the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (750) and the Tab 8.9 (730). All the specs will be the same like the thinness of the devices and the processors running on them its just that the names are changed, for reasons I do not know why.

USA: T-Mobile G-Slate should get Android 3.1 Honeycomb update today

LG have announced that the Android 3.1 Honeycomb update for the T-Mobile G-Slate, which is basically the LG Optimus Pad, starting today or it should have started rolling out yesterday. You might wanna check for updates if you have a G-Slate. The update will bring in all the 3.1 Honeycomb goodness into your 3D capable tablet most notably a much more stable and an enhanced performance from the platform. 

UK: Amazon UK puts the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 on pre-order

After the launching of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in some major markets around the world, we really have not heard yet (that much) of the tablet's little brethren, the Galaxy Tab 8.9. The two tablets share the same innards and specs except for one, their size of the screen. Apparently, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 sports a display that is 8.9" compared to the 10.1" of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Anyway, Amazon UK have put the 8.9-incher tablet on pre-order for £603.20 which will start shipping on August 15th. For that price, you'd be getting the white variant of the tablet with 3G connectivity.

Samsung TouchWix UX update for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will roll out starting Aug. 5th

Those who are at the Samsung event in New York should already have he TouchWiz UX update on their Galaxy Tab 10.1s. For those who aren't don't worry because Samsung will be rolling out the same update to all the Galaxy Tab 10.1 owners in the US starting August 5th. The update will come OTA. The update will bring in software enhancements aside from the obvious TouchWiz UX overlay on Android Honeycomb. The update will also bring in features like Live Panel, Mini Apps, Quick Panel, Media Hub, Social Hub, and a Photo Editor.

Sony S1 and S2 Android tablets new info breaks lose

We have new info about Sony's two Android Honeycomb tablets that are soon to launch. These two tablets will be running on the latest version of Honeycomb, that means that as of today and if they should launch today they will be sporting Android 3.2 Honeycomb. Aside from this we have other details regarding the stuff that will be in the tablets and the different variants that should be available when launch day comes.

Asus South Africa releases official photos of the EeePad Slider

The first official press photos of the next Android tablet that Asus is due to launch, the Asus EeePad Slider, was released by Asus South Africa's Facebook page. After a very successful launching of the blockbuster Asus EeePad Transformer, the EeePad Slider is the next to make a scene in the tablet market. 

Lenovo puts a launch date of the ThinkPad Tablet on their website - August 23rd

The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet that was one of the three tablets that the Chinese company announced a while back now has a date attached to it regarding when it will become available. If you try to head over to the tablets' dedicated webpage on Lenovo's official website, you will be able to see that this tablet will become available when August 23 comes. The other Android powered tablet that Lenovo announced, the IdeaPad K1 is already available fore pre-order.

Dell officially announces the Dell Streak 10 Pro in China

The Dell Streak Pro is officially official! The tablet, Dell's third, after the Dell Streak 5 and 7 will be launched in the Chinese market in the coming weeks and should be available at Dell's online store. With regards to pricing the Android Honeycomb powered tablet will be available for RMB 3,699 (US$575). The specs of the device are listed below.

IND: Motorola Xoom gets Android 3.1 Honeycomb

The world's first Android Honeycomb tablet is apparently not the world's first tablet to get the latest and newest version of the Honeycomb platform. Today (July 29), Motorola Xooms in India should start getting the Android 3.1 Honeycomb update via OTA. Other Honeycomb tablets are already rolling out their 3.2 update, but regardless who gets there first, any update is appreciated. 

Asus EeePad Transformer's Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet should have started rollin out today

Yesterday, Asus's Twitter account tweeted and said that the their EeePad Transformer table should get the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update starting today. The update, like most software updates, will be rolled out in stages and I will say this again, everyone will get it but not at the same time. But, that is what they just tweeted, they did not say which country or continent will get it first. But anyway, your Transformers should notify you of a new software available for installation since this will be an OTA update.

HTC Puccini breaks cover

Remember the HTC Puccini? HTC's 10" Android tablet that was first seen back in May. Then the specs came after it and then we have this. Looks like an official photo from HTC of the 10-incher. BGR have two photos of the tablet, the other one shows off the tablet's rear (photo below) and we can clearly see a dual built-in speaker of the tablet.

USA: Verizon to officially offer and make the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE tablet available starting July 28th

Verizon's Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 that packs 4G LTE connectivity is officially announced to start being available on July 28. The tablet will be available in two variants, a 16GB and a 32GB which will cost you $529 & $629, respectively.  Just like the WiFi only version of the top Android Honeycomb tablet in the market today, the 4G packing tablet will also be sporting a 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, a 10.1" WXGA (1200x800) touchscreen display, a 3MP rear facing camera with HD video recording, a 2MP front facing camera, dual built-in speakers, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. USA: Lenovo's IdeaPad K1 is now available for pre-order for $499.99

The just announced Lenovo IdeaPad K1 has quickly gone up for pre-order at the Lenovo online shop. Unfortunately, on the  32GB version of the tablet is available at their online store and will cost you $499.99 for the White and Silver colored tablet and the Red and White colored tablet. If you wish to get the cover with the tablet then Lenovo will be selling the same tablet bundled with the leather cover for $519. The tablet is scheduled to be shipped when August 1st comes. For those who wants Lenovo's own Honeycomb tablet then head over to their online store and pre-order yours now.

IND: Asus launches the EeePad Transformer in India for Rs. 32,990

The Asus EeePad Transformer is finally launched in the Indian market with a tag price of Rs. 32,990. For that price you'd be getting the 16GB WiFi only version of the Honeycomb powered device. If you want the keyboard dock, which basically is the selling point of this tablet, then worry not, since the price includes the dock (bundled into the package).

Lenovo announces the ThinkPad and the IdeaPad K1 Android powered tablets

Lenovo have officially unveiled three tablets today, namely the Lenovo ThinkPad, IdeaPad K1, and the IdeaPad P1, the first two runs on Android and the latter runs on Windows 7. The two Android tablets will be available in the US, the UK, and in Germany (initially, for sure). Lenovo schedules the release of the ThinkPad in the US in August 2 and will be priced starting $479. The IdeaPad K1 will be available in Europe sometime in August with a price starting from €399 or more.
