Samsung offers a full refund to PCs with faulty Intel Sandy Bridge processors


Oh dang! What happened Intel? Oh well, it seems and was confirmed by Intel that their 2nd generation Intel Core porcessors, those Sandy Bridges, have an "incurable design issue". Just when we thought that Intel has it, the hype for these Sandy Bridge processors. Now we get this news? Well, technology was never perfect. Anyway, Intel have stopped shipment and production of the faulty chips. The chips that are said to be affected is the Intel 6 Series chipset or those named "Cougar Point" chips. To put it into a more understandable name Intel Core i5 and i7 processors (Sandy Bridge). 




Samsung, a PC manufacturer that have those Sandy Bridges on their latest PCs, have offered a full refund on users that have purchased their products with Intel's faulty chips. Samsung currently have 1 PC that is being offered in the US that have faulty chips inside and 6 are being sold in South Korea. Intel is said to shoulder all the expenses and whatnots with this refund program by Samsung.
