IND: Samsung Galaxy S II to be launched in India in May

The Samsung Galaxy S II is definitely HTC Sensation's direct competition. Forget about smartphones, the era of the superphones has come. In India, it was rumored that Samsung's thinnest and lightest and their most powerful smartphone ever will be available sometime around the month of June. This post will contradict that rumor, since it is said that Samsung have confirmed the availability of the Galaxy S II in India will be sooner than it was rumored.

The device is "confirmed" to be launching in India in May, that's a whole month earlier than expected! The Android 2.3 Gingerbread device, although we still do not know the exact date of launching and it's price, is reported to cost in the Indian market for INR 35,000 ($786).

As a refresher, the Galaxy S II like the HTC Sensation, will pack a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with the newest and latest TouchWiz UI (ver. 4.0), 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an 8MP rear facing camera. For the device's full detailed specs click here.
