RIM intros BBM Music


The Canadian company have announced BBM Music which is a cloud-based service that would allow users to discover new music that will be based by what the community (your BBM Music friends) would store 50 of their best music tracks to the cloud.

Here's the deal: at any moment, you're allowed to have 50 of your favoritesongs stored on your phone, with the ability to swap out 25 of them every month. You can grow the number of songs available to you by adding BBM Music friends, as then you'll have access to their 50 songs. " - PocketNow
The service will also allow you to comment on songs, create playlists, and listen (in full length) all the 50 songs that your friends have on their BBM Music. BBM Music, the app, will be available for free but the service will cost you $4.99/month. Read RIM's full press release below.

BBM Music is an easy-to-use cloud-based service that enables social and viral music discovery by allowing users to build an evolving, community-based music library that is shared amongst their BBM Music friends. The size of the music library continues to grow as new friends join the community and each user can select music from a catalog with millions of songs from leading music companies - Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and EMI.
