Google announced over at Google Groups that a minor update to the Google Nexus 7 has been released. The update bumps the version of the device's platform to Android 4.1.2. The update is minor but it has brought in a feature that no other platform out there has ever introduced. It's the addition of the landscape homescreen feature that's the bomb from this update. That's a first, I believe, and good job Google for bringing this in.
The update is currently only pushing to the Nexus 7 and looks like no news yet if it will be pushed to the other Nexuses. Anyway, expect this update to be in the next major version. For those who does not own a Nexus 7, you will just have to wait if the OEM of your device will eventually push this version to your devices. But I expect they won't not unless another major Android version is announced.
