LG Optimus Pad is the international version of the G-Slate - Tegra 2 and 3D capabilities

LG G-Slate

This post will answer my question about the LG Optimus Pad, that I blogged about last year. Right after announcing the LG Optimus Pad, the Korean giant have thrown to the bin their plans of making a tablet challenger that early. And before the G-Slate came out or announced, it was rumored that LG will be making the LG-Optimus Pad, and will run on Android 3.0. And then everyone, including me, was amazed of LG's introduction of the LG G-Slate which is basically bound for the US markets with T-Mobile.

Since the G-Slate will only be found in the US market, LG is planning to release an international version of the tablet. My sources said that the LG Optimus Pad will be the European version of the G-Slate and LG is bound to announce the device during MWC 2011 in Barcelon, Spain. European version, basically that would equate to as the International version of any device, agree?

Anyway, LG have not outed the specs or any details yet of the LG Optimus Pad, but hypothetically, it will feature the same stuff inside just like the G-Slate. Since it will be featuring like the G-Slate the tablet will be 3D capable and will feature nVidia's Tegra 2 processor. I am not sure though if LG is stuffing the yet to be announced or made Tegra 2 3D, but the device is definitely 3D capable.

With LG's confirmation of the LG Optimus Pad, they have also unveiled that the G-Slate's battery will be boasting 6400 mAh, that is huge!

The G-Slate is touted to be launched in the US with T-Mobile in March, it is expected that the Optimus Pad will be launched shortly after it's brother's launching.
