USA: Sprint's Samsung Epic 4G's Android 2.3 Gingerbread update officially arrives
Sprint has officially announced that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Samsung Epic 4G has started rolling out. The update, like the smartphone's Froyo update, is delayed but late is always better than never right? So, for those who owns the Epic 4G this is good news to you all. Like most other software updates the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the smartphone will be done in a staggered manner. Everyone should receive it just not at the same time.

September 8th is the day when all the Galaxy S-es will sell together - Launch of the Samsung Fascinate
Last, yes last. The Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate for Verizon will be launched on September 8th. I'm sorry I did not post about the Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G launched today over at Sprint. Since the two other Galaxy S-es are already selling over at AT&T and T-Mobile, the Samsung Captivate and Vibrant respectively, this means that on September 8th all, yes all, Galaxy S will be available to US consumers. That's the time that Samsung should be expecting more and more customers asking for their smartphones and start to see an increase in Galaxy S sales increase.

The Captivate and the Vibrant are already selling like hotcakes, with 1 Million of them shipped. The Epic 4G's, Sprint's second 4G phone along side the HTC Evo 4G, and the Fascinate's addition in completion of the whole Galaxy S line's complete availability will really make Samsung a busy mobile phone provider in the US. Anyway, as what I have said all the Galaxy S-es will feature the same features and since I have posted a lot of blogs about their specifications I don't want to utter them again. But will glue a photo that shows the specs of the Samsung Fascinate.

Samsung Epic 4G - Boy Genius Report's Review
Photo grabbed from Boy Genius Report
I have written about the Epic 4G a dozen times now, including reviews of the device from a different tech blog from Boy Genius Report. Oh well, Gizmodo, Endgadget, and BGR all said the same thing when they posted their review on the Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G which is obviously bound for Sprint. The only 4G capable of the 4 Galaxy S-es and the only Galaxy S that features a slide out full QWERTY keyboard. This is Sprint's second 4G smartphone in their fleet, along side the HTC Evo 4G, Sprint's flagship device. but recently, Sprint released a video about the Epic 4G pointing out that it is better than the HTC Evo, well, I don't know about you but that's what I think the employee (in the video) is telling me.
As what I have said over and over again too, with Samsung's Super AMOLED technology in tact on all its Galaxy S-es, Samsung has the capability to make their devices thin. Yes, this smartphone right here with a 4inch touch screen display is thin even if it has the keyboard underneath it. How thin? 0.56 inches thin? Do not know how thing that is? Its this thin.

For the specifications of this device, I will be quoting BGR for this. Here goes!
- 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch-screen display (480 x 800)
- 1 GHz Coretex A8 Snapdragon processor
- Android 2.1 with TouchWiz 3.0
- 512 MB RAM/512 MB ROM
- CDMA EV-DO rev. A/WiMax
- Wi-Fi b/g/n
- Bluetooth 2.1
- a-GPS
- rear-facing 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording and LED flash; front-facing VGA camera
- micro-SD card slot
- 4.90 x 2.54 x 0.56 inches
- 5.46 ounces

Look how clear that screen is. That's the power of the Super AMOLED technology from Samsung. It literally competes, if not better than iPhone 4's Retina display.
To to finish my post I will also be quoting BGR of their conclusion about this devil of a smartphone.
At the end of a phone review we always ask ourselves: could we use this device day-in and day-out as our primary phone? And we are happy to report that in regards to the Epic 4G the answer is: absolutely. Combine the flexibility of Android with a rock-solid keyboard and high-end features and you have yourself a winner. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Epic 4G to anyone and truly wonder which of the two 4G handsets Sprint considers its flagship. The device is priced $50 higher than the EVO 4G, but if you need to have a physical keyboard — and don’t mind the TouchWiz UI and Android 2.1 — it’s money well spent.
You can't get a review that'd be better than that! Now all you have to do is to hit the source link below to read the full review from BGR.

Samsung ships 1 Million Galaxy S-es in the US alone
Photo grabbed from Unwired View
Samsung, the phone brand I love, has announced the success of their Galaxy S line. Samsung Mobile USA announced that they had shipped 1 Million Galaxy S-es in the US alone. The photo you see above are the 2 Galaxy S-es that are currently available in the US and are with AT&T and T-Mobile. The Samsung Vibrant goes along with T-Mobile and The Samsung Captivate goes with AT&T. All of the Galaxy S-es carried the same features and specifications, its just the design that differed. So 1 Million shipped, 1 Million sold in 45 days and take note that of the four only two are currently available. Expect more shipments Samsung, "The number mobile phone provider in the US".

The other two Galaxy S-es are still coming into US shores soon. Verizon's Samsung Fascinate and Sprint's Samsung Epic 4G. The most unique between them four is the Epic 4G, of course with 4G capability, it should be unique. Its the only Galaxy S that features a slide out full QWERTY keyboard, giving Sprint customers a third way to type in texts. I'll say this again all of the Galaxy S-es features the same specifications like 1GHz Hummingbird Processor. Android 2.1 which is upgradeable to Android 2.2. Of course, I will never forget it also features Samsung's only technology, a Samsung Super AMOLED touch screen display that is a 4 incher.
