Sprint ($199) cuts price of Samsung Epic 4G but Amazon ($99) offers it lower

The Samsung Epic 4G is the HTC Evo 4G's competition the time when this smartphone was launched over at Sprint. Also the handset is Sprint's version of the Samsung Galaxy S line, which until now does not have any updates to Android 2.2 Froyo. Anyway, the Epic 4G is now being offered by Sprint at a lower price. They recently announced that there will be a change in the smartphone's pricing (maybe to sell what's left from of their stock).

Sprint offers the Epic 4G now at a lower price of just $199.99 with a two year contract compared to the phone's previous price pegged at $249.99.

If you think that is still pricey for a phone that has been there for a while now regardless if it was named by CNET as the #1 smartphone in CNET's top 5. Then Amazon will be your lifesaver, assuming also that you really wanted to have this smartphone but you simply held back because of the price tag.

Amazon beats Sprint's price by over a hundred bucks. They are now selling the smartphone at just $99.99 with of course a 2-year contract with Sprint.
