The Asus Transformer AiO

So far in this blog, the devices that Asus has been unveiling back in Computex 2012 are all touchscreen devices. Now, this is the Asus Transformer AiO, and by the sound of it's name and since it has the word "transformer" in it, this is another touchscreen device. The Transformer AiO is actually a desktop PC running on Windows 8 but just like all transformers, the display can be detached and can work as a huge tablet.

USA: Apple launches the updated Mac Mini tows in the Thunderbolt I/O, Faster CPUs, and an AMD Radeon HD

Not only is the MacBook Air gets an upgrade from the Cupertino-based company, Apple have also updated their Mac Mini and has confirmed that the MacBook has been discontinued. The new Mac Mini comes with a newer and a faster CPU, the Thunderbolt I/O, and an AMD Radeon HD GPU. The SuperDrive slot that the previous Mac Mini had has been taken out, which means that the new Mac Mini does not sport any SuperDrive anymore. Starting at $599 you can get a new Mac Mini with an Intel Core i5 2.3GHz processor with Turbo Boost 2.0 (for up to 3.4GHz of processing power), 2GB of RAM, 500GB of HDD, Intel HD 3000 Graphics, and Mac OS X Lion.

Google shows the Samsung made ChromeBox

Here's another Samsung made device or machine that showed up during the Google I/O Conference. I have already posted about the Samsung Series 5 ChromeBook this is a post about, the imminent, desktop version of the ChromeBook. Called as a ChromeBox, Endgadget is pretty sure that this will how a Chrome OS powered desktop would look like, of course it needs to have those displays and whatnots. Unfortunately, Google did a great job in teasing the crowd at the conference since they did not give out any details with regards to this box.

Apple launched the new iMacs with Intel Sandy Bridge and Thunderbolt I/O

Another late post. Apple have launched the new iMac which now brings in Intel's Sandy Bridge chipset, the Thunderbolt I/O, and faster graphics. The new iMacs are available in  21.5 inch and 27 inch models which can be configured with the Intel quad-core Sandy Bridge processors starting with a 2.5GHz chip and comes with a standard AMD Radeon HD GPUs. Also it will pack 4GB of RAM, a 500GB or 1TB hard drives. As previously stated, these new lines of iMacs will come with Apple and Intel's Thunderbolt interface giving users lightning data transfers.

HP announced their new Pavilion Desktop line with AMD Fusion chips

HP announced their new revamped Pavilion Desktops now with AMD's newest processors, APUs actually. Their in-the-budget desktop line, the Pavilion Desktop line are all going to get some AMD Fusion love. The HP Pavilion P6700, S5700, and the HPE-500. These models, since they are budget friendly desktops, will give you a wide range of options on what stuff you want inside them. Head over the break to check out what these options are.

Local: Lenovo Philippines outs Lenovo IdeaPad Z460, Z360 & H320

Lenovo Philippines gives it's multimedia laptops a refresher and are now available for sale in the Philippines. It refreshed it's Z Series laptops and a new H Series desktop the H320. The new computers from the Chinese company offers the consuming public the power of Intel's latest processors.

Acer Predator gaming desktops available today in the US

The Acer Predator AG7750 and the AG5900 is now available for the US consumers. Those who loves gaming and what not, this desktop with its cool design will swoop down into the US today. The photo above is the AG7750 which has a liquid-cooled 2.8GHz Intel Core i7-930 processor, 12GB of DDR3 memory, NVIDIA GTX 470 graphics is a beast. This desktop will cost you $1,999.

The lesser of the two beasts but still a predator, the Acer Predator AG5900. This desktop features an Intel Core i7-870 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and an ATI Radeon HD 5850. Both versions will get a 1.5TB HDD.

Top 5 Computer companies for global PC sales - HP still reigns supreme

When Steve Jobs' said that the iPad will mark the end of the netbook Acer Chairman, JT Wang, quickly said that iPad sales will only go down from here. Oh well, I think JT is wrong. According to iSuppli's report of 2010's second quarter of Global PC market, 4 of the 5 leading PC manufacturers out there all experienced different percentages of dropped PC shipments globally. Of course, except one.

HP still reigns supreme in the PC market with an 18.1 percent market share but that includes the 6.3 percent drop from last quarter. Second goes  to Dell, the place where it had given to Acer, but now Dell's back to #2 after Acer experienced a higher percentage of market share lost compared to Dell. Dell lost 1.2% of its share but Acer lost 6.2% putting Acer back to #3, unfortunately. On #4 is Lenovo which is the only company who did not lose any share but rather gained a chunk of the market. With its 18.6% gain, Lenovo is immediately behind Acer to take the #4 spot and the last goes to Toshiba which incurred a 2.6% lost of share.
