Ok, don't get confused with the title I just made with this post. It basically means that the ViewSonic ViewPad 10Pro runs on the Android platform but can also "boot" the Windows 7 OS. But don't get too excited with the "dual-boot" idea of it all. The device, by the way, is also showcased in at Computex 2011.
ViewSonic calls the ViewPad 10Pro as the "world's first dual-boot" tablet that uses Android 2.2 Froyo and Windows 7 as the OS that you can theoretically boot. It sports Intel's Oak Trail Z760 1.5GHz processor, 32GB of internal storage, microSD card support, and a 3500 mAh battery. It seems the size of the tablet's screen was not mentioned in the press release neither did my source mentioned it. Anyway, you might have been wondering about my reiteration of the "dual-boot" of it all.Well it's because of what Endgadget found out when they were able to get a hands-on of the device.
"Calling this a dual-boot tablet may have been a little ambitious, as it's running the Bluestacksvirtualization software, which turns Android into a Windows app, rather than allowing true dual-booting capabilities."Source: Endgadget
