Today, the Samsung Galaxy S (GT-i9000) has started receiving the Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread update. As reported by Samsung Hub, the update have started rolling out first in Finland. They noted the update is limited to those devices bearing "NEE" as the CSC version. For those in Finland, this is good new and to the other Galaxy S owners.
Of course, the Nexus S and the Nexus One were the first to get the 2.3.3 version of the world's most popular platform. If Samsung can push the update to all the 1st generation Galaxy S-es and not only to a limited "NEE" bearing device then I believe the most popular Android smartphone would be the second device that would be getting the update. Anyway this already proves that the update will eventually come to all GT-i9000s. The question is, have all Galaxy S-es able to update to 2.3 Gingerbread?
