Sony Ericsson announces the launching of the Xperia Play

Sony Ericsson have announced the launching of the much waited Xperia Play to different markets around the world through a press release. Unfortunately, the US is not included in these markets that the Xperia Play is expected to show up on.

We already know what the Xperia Play is and it's features, but now we now know which countries will get first blood with the world's first and currently, the only PlayStation Certified smartphone. The markets mentioned on their press release are the following: United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Russia, India and Portugal. The press release also said that the phone is and will be available to these markets starting from April 1 and within the next two weeks.

This is great news even after they have announced that the phone will be delayed in the UK. So, 11 markets no US mentioned. Soon you'll be seeing this phone in your local retail and network carrier shelves.

Who is eagerly wanting one?

You can read Sony Ericsson's official press release. The link is below. There you will be able to find more info about the phone and the games, of course, that comes pre-loaded into it when you get it.
