Yup, that's an official photo (finally no more leaks) of the HTC Thunderbolt that is bound forVerizon store shelves. What do you see? Come on, say it. Yes, it's just a different version of the already launched a long time ago HTC Desire HD just like the HTC Inspire 4G. But what makes this device different from the Desire HD and the Inspire 4G is that the handset is LTE capable fit for Verizon Wireless' network. But, as what I have expected, like the Desire HD and the Inspire 4G, the Thunderbolt will feature and sport HTC's new Sense UI and with that I am pretty sure it comes with access to HTC's Sense web portal.
Oh, and another difference from the Desire HD but very a like with the Evo 4G and the HTC HD7 (WP7 phone) is that it rocks an apparent kick stand. Now I am beginning to think that this one is the HTC HD7 just an Android version of it but with a front design of the Desire HD. Oh confusing isn't it? Let get moving with the specs (I tell you, don't be surprised).
HTC Thunderbold specs:
- Android 2.2 Froyo when launched
- 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- 4.3-inch WVGA (800×480) touchscreen
- Dolby Surround sound
- 8-megapixel camera with HD video recording and front-facing camera for video calls
- wireless DLNA support
Much like the Desire HD. Neither Verizon Wireless nor HTC have said an exact date on when the handset will be available for public consumption but Verizon said that it will be available "soon".
