Google Cr-48 laptop starts shipping so that Google can test Chrome OS

This is the laptop that Google have started shipping out to users who have applied and was given approval to the Google's challenger into the Operating Systems market, Chrome OS. Unveiled a few days back, the Chrome OS is set to be one of the lightest OS in the world, if it ain't the lightest.

The Cr-48 is a black, no sticker and no brand laptop. The whole purpose of sending out these stealthy looking and rubberized finished feeling notebook is to really test the Chrome OS. BGR said "We can’t get over how instant this thing is — it boots and wakes from sleep literally in one second max!"

For the specs of it all of the notebook. The Cr-48 runs on a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual core processor, 8GB SSD (RAM), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G connectivity, flash based storage (like what the MacBook Air has), a keyboard fit for a Chrome OS, and a touch pad. The notebook, BGR said based on their forums, weighs 3.2 pounds and can last 8 hours or usage and 8 days in standby.

What is amazing is the laptop boots in just 10 seconds, and resumes from sleep instantly. Flash on Chrome OS "is not running properly" maybe because Adobe does not support the Linux environment. The quick and fastness of it all may be all thanks to the notebook's 8GB SSD, well I'd be happy if I get to test the OS. So Google, accept my application.
