Nokia E7 Symbian^3 powered smartphone scheduled to ship on Dec 10

Nokia E7
Unveiled during the Nokia World 2010 in London, the Nokia E7 is scheduled to start shipping on December 10 of this year. Nokia's blog Twitter account said so in a reply to a question asked when the E7 is suppose to start shipping. The Twitter account was answering queries and whatnots from people and have ultimately tweeted two things that widened my eyes.

So for those who are asking when that 4" Symbian^3 business smartphone is coming into town then that's the date you want to remember. But Nokia flanks with schedules, just like what happened with the Nokia N8 which was launched and released way over the expected and announced date. Anyway, that's a schedule and we hope Nokia will stick to that December 10 shipment. Good thing, the tweet cleared things out that truly, it varies country-to-country.

On other things, I have been writing about why Nokia does not want to just completely turn it's back on Symbian. The Mobile OS isn't giving the Nokia N8 good reviews, well I personally believe that those not so great reviews could have been better IF the N8 is not running on Symbian. Anyway, I was able to get this tweet from Nokia too.

Oh, so their really committed to Symbian, but rumors already have it that Symbian will eventually close down. Oh well, that rumor has to prove that it can hold water. MeeGo (Linux based) would be a very interesting OS to work with, and is already touted to be the OS preferred for the next Nokia smartphone, which, looks just like the N8 or the E7, the Nokia N9.  We'll see where these things go in the future. Will be keeping you posted.
