Toshiba have just put to live their tablet web page! This is not something new, we've seen the tablet the day before CES 2011 courtesy of Endgadget. It does not have a name yet they just and we just call it, for now, the Toshiba Tablet. Obviously, it runs on Android 3.0 Honeycomb, and has a lot of features that already, I know this tablet would compete with the other tablets around.
Inside it breathes an nVidia Tegra 2 (dual-core) processor, a 5 MP rear facing camera, 2 MP front facing camera that is uniquely positioned at the side of the tablet, WiFi, USB port, mini USB port, 3.mm headset hack, HDMI out, a "long lasting" replaceable battery, a 10.1" touch screen displat with a 1280 x 800 resolution (seems quite huge, isn't it?), and an aspect ratio of 16:10.
It also sports an adaptive display that has a light ambient sensor so that the tablet is just at the right brightness depending on the lighting condition it is in and you are in.
Anyway, Toshiba justs says it is "coming soon". I'll be updating you, of course, if Toshiba decides its time to give their tablet challenger a name and formally introduce it to the world.
Go to the Toshiba Tablet's official webpage and see for yourself.
Endgadget, by the way, have tried accessing the page using an iOS device and noticed that the web page seems to be all about Flash. The web page says "Such a shame... if you had a Toshiba Tablet you would enjoy the entire internet." It seems Toshiba now knows how to mock on the iOS' incapability to load flash apps and sites.
