iOS 5.1.1 released for the iPhone, iPad, and the iPod Touch

Apple has released iOS 5.1.1 for the iPhone, iPad, and the iPod Touch which brings in bug fixes to the platform. The update will be administered OTA for those users running on iOS 5.0 or higher. This update is compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 3GS, the new iPad, iPad 2, and the 4th-gen iPod Touch. Head over the break to check what is in this update.

PHIL: [Update] Globe now accepts "reservation of interest" for the iPhone 4S - coming in December 16th

The wait is not yet over but at least you can now reserve your interest over at Globe. Unfortunately, this is not pre-ordering an iPhone 4S but rather a "reservation of interest". Nonetheless, I know everyone out there would want to go ahead and reserve their interest, right? So what are you waiting for? The most amazing iPhone ever to land on Earth is waiting for you here (reservation link). As a refresher, the next iteration of the iPhone sports a 1GHz Apple A5 dual-core chipset, an improved 8MP rear facing camera, and iOS 5 which comes with Siri (beta). Pricing is still not yet disclosed by Globe but if you remember how much the predecessor's price of the iPhone was when it was launched, then you'd be able to guess the range that the iPhone 4S will be priced.

iOS 5.0.1 now available for download fixes battery issues

Apple has released iOS 5.0.1 to finally fix the battery issue the iPhone 4S has. Apple is said to have found what causes the battery to drain faster than usual and has made the necessary fixes on this update. You can now get the update by tapping to Settings > General > Software Update > and then tap on Download and Install. 

iPhone 4S will become available in Hong Kong and South Korea and 13 more countries come Nov 11

Apple has announced that the iPhone 4S will become available in 15 more countries in November 11. The smartphone is already available in more than 22 countries including those who were included when the device was first available. The countries included in the Nov 11 launching are Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Panama, Portugal, Romania, and in South Korea. The iPhone 4S launches in 22 more countries

Apple's most amazing smartphone ever, the iPhone 4S, was announced a few weeks back and was only available in 7 countries at first. After a week or so, the smartphone was available for pre-order in 22 more countries. Today, Apple launches the handset in those 22 countries and is planning to launch the device in 70 countries before this year ends. To reiterate, these 22 countries are  Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. For those who are in these countries and wants to get the iPhone 4S with that trend setter personal assistant, Siri, head over to your local Apple Stores or head over to Apple.com and get your iPhone 4S now.

iOS 5 now available for download

Right on schedule, Apple released and made the next iteration of iOS available for download. This version of the platform is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch 3rd gen, and the iPod Touch 4th gen. iOS 5 brings in tons of new features into your iOS devices like the pull-down notifcation, iCloud, iMessage, and Find my Friends. USA: Sprint will start accepting pre-orders of the iPhone 4Sin October 7th while the iPhone 4 is now available for only $99

So, Sprint is finally and officially the third US carrier that is given the chance and the privilege to carry and offer on their own network Apple's iPhone 4 and 4S. You still can't get or pre-order the iPhone 4S, you will have to wait until October 7 so that you can start pre-ordering one but for those who wants an iPhone 4 for only $99, then this is good news. Sprint is now offering the iPhone 4 for only $99 over at their iPhone dedicated webpage at http://sprint.com/iPhone. The iPhone 4S will be available at Sprint stores starting October 14th starting at $199.99 with a 2-year contract and 16GB of internal storage. iOS 5 available in October 12

So, this is the stuff that really makes those Apple devices so stunning and beautiful, the software that it runs on. Apple announced that iOS 5 will be available for download on October 12. Apple's most advanced mobile operating system will be supporting the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch 3rd Gen, and the iPod Touch 4th gen. iOS 5 includes tons of features like the Notification Center, iMessage, Newsstand, Reminders, and a better and deeper Twitter integration and these are just a few of them. On October 12th, this is the place where you would want to check if the OS is already available.

The iPhone 4S - to launch in October 14 pre-orders will start Oct. 7

Apple, during the "Let's Talk iPhone" event held at the company's Cupertino base, announced the next iteration of the iPhone. For those who are expecting something really new or something that is completely different from the iPhone 4, you might get disappointed, because the photo you see above is the iPhone 4S. Still, the smartphone is an upgrade, major for those who loves looking inside rather than the outside of a phone. It packs a dual-core processor with Apple's new A5 chipset and a mind boggling 8MP camera that really had a chunk of time during the event. Also, iOS 5 and it's features were showcased with the addition of Siri Assistant (the personal assistant). Apple, with Tim Cook on stage, also featured the new pricing of the iPod Nano and the iPod Touch. I'll be talking about them later on.

iMessage is the BlackBerry Messenger killer?

One of the main things that Apple have announced during their annual WWDC event is iMessage. What is iMessage? First thing you need to know is that it comes along with iOS 5. iMessage is basically Apple's way of competing with RIM's BlackBerry Messenger service. iMessage allows iOS users (iPhone, iPad, and the iPod Touch) to send messages and photos. I know you get it, just think of BBM. 

Apple's iCloud finally unveiled

iCloud - all your content in the cloud. Well, great stuff going on with iCloud, really. What this new service from Apple will do to you is that it will make your life a lot easier. If you have a couple of iOS devices and a Mac or two, iCloud will make all your content, iBooks, photos, videos, and even device settings available in the cloud. iCloud automatically uploads these stuff, stores, and pushes them into your different devices. These content and whatnots will be automatically backed up over WiFi.

The iOS 5 revealed and demoed - a lot of new and amazing features

I believe this is what most of you are waiting for, right? iOS 5, Apple's next iteration of the popular iOS, was unveiled during WWDC 2011 in San Francisco. Just like the Mac OS X Lion, iOS 5 brings in a lot of new features which basically solves problems that the current iOS is having, like notification and whatnots.

Steve Jobs will be unveiling iCloud, iOS 5, and the OS X Lion at the WWDC 2011

Next week, Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference will be kicking off. Officially, via a press release, Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, will be unveiling the next iteration of the iOS, Mac OS X, and the iCloud. Currently, when you head over to iCloud.com you will be redirected to cloudme.com. Anyway, the most awaited announcement and availability of the next iteration of iOS, iOS 5, will come with a lot of changes enhancing the user experience that iOS users have been wanting. These improvements include a revamped notification system and windgets among other things.
