Android 4.2 Jelly Bean pushes to the Nexus 7 and the Galaxy Nexus

Google is now pushing the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update to the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7 (or the Nexus Tablet). According to reports I was able to read, the Galaxy Nexus' Android 4.2 JB update and the Nexus 7's update is a manual update. Which means you have to download the software first before you can actually update your device. Today though, a report by PocketNow says that the Nexus 7's update is now pushing via OTA. Google has also posted on their Android Developers blog the details that Android 4.2 Jelly Bean has and what it will give your devices. Cheers!

Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update rolls out to the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus

Google has apparently pushed the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update to the Nexus S and the Galaxy Nexus devices. This version of the platform, which brings in the landscape homescreen view was first pushed to the Nexus 7. Rightfully enough, it is now available over-the-air for those who owns the Nexus S and the Galaxy Nexus. If you still did not get any notification about the update, you can always check it manually. Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update rolls out to the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus Tablet

Some of you might have heard about the lawsuit between Samsung and Google versus Apple right? That lawsuit that would ban the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy Tablet from selling in US soils. Apple was successful with the injunction of the Galaxy Nexus and Google has responded that an update would take then evade that patent that Apple was accusing the devices have infringed. That update is this one. Which will bump the Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Tablet up to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. USA: Sprint to launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE on April 22nd for $199.99

Sprint is poised to launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus with 4G LTE connectivity come April 22nd for $199.99. Seems like Sprint is really getting giving it all out when it comes to their 4G LTE offerings here with the Galaxy Nexus. Of course, the price of the device with Sprint will come with a 2-year contract and pre-orders have already started. Sprint said on their official press release that those who pre-ordered the device will be getting their Galaxy Nexus 2 days early, April 20th. So, For those who wants to get the device, head over to Sprint.

Google started rolling out Android 4.0.4 ICS to the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S

Google has officially announced via Twitter, that they have already started rolling out the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Samsung Nexus S. Android 4.0.4 brings in overall stability of the platform, camera improvements, smoother camera rotation, better phone number recognition, and more. Sammy Hub reports that the update is only for the GSM variants of the devices. So for the CDMA-based Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S, a bit more waiting is required. Pretty sure though, it will come.

UK: Samsung Galaxy Nexus in white to officially arrive in the UK in February 13

Samsung has officially announced that the white version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be arriving in the UK come February 13th. Rumors and leaked photos of the white variant of the device have been roaming around the internet for a while now and it's only today that the Korean phone maker has made it official. Nothing on the inside will be changed, it is still the same Galaxy Nexus that you will be getting when you decide to buy this white version of it. Also, nothing outside it is changed, well of course, except for the color.

PHIL: Samsung Galaxy Nexus exclusively available over at Smart

Better late than never! I am very sorry for my readers in the Philippines about this very late post. Nevertheless, Smart has made the Samsung Galaxy Nexus available and will be the exclusive carrier of the latest iteration of the "Pure Google" phone. Smart have started accepting pre-orders of the device way back in January and pick-up date for those who pre-ordered was at the end of the month. Today, if stocks are available, you should probably get the smartphone without the wait at the nearest Smart Stores.

USA: [Update] Sprint announced the Galaxy Nexus and LG Viper 4G LTE smartphones [CES 2012]

Sprint officially announced that they will be launching two new smartphones into their portfolio and will both operate with the carrier's 4G LTE network. These devices are the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the LG Viper. Sprint is a bit silent about when these devices will become available but Sprint CEO said that customers in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio will be among the first to get 4G LTE up and running and should probably get these devices first. Google stops Galaxy Nexus' ICS update - will resume soon

The world's first device to run on the latest version of Android, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Galaxy Nexus was  plagued with a volume bug. Google and Samsung already acknowledged the bug and have promised to push a software update as soon as possible. The update is already being pushed but then stopped. It seems the update they released was not as perfect as they wanted it to be. 

USA: Verizon launches the Samsung Galaxy Nexus with 4G LTE connectivity for $299

Verizon officially launched the Galaxy Nexus today and for those who wants to own a 4G LTE packing Android 4.0 ICS smartphone, then give Verizon a big hug. The carrier is offering the device for $299 with a 2-year contract or $649.99 without a contract. As a refresher, the Galaxy Nexus runs on Android 4.0 ICS and sports a 1.2GHz TI OMAP dual-core processor, a 4.65" HD Super AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. AUS: Samsung Galaxy Nexus now available for pre-order over at Vodafone Australia

Vodafone Australia is now accepting pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the world's first smartphone to sport the latest version of Android, Android 4.0 ICS. I dont really understand the pricing of Vodafone here, but the webpage says that the phone will be available at $5 on the $59 Cap. Vodafone Australia, I believe, is the first carrier in Australia that offers the said smartphone on pre-order. Probably they will be the first to launch the device. So for those who wants to be one of the first to own a Galaxy Nexus, head over to the Vodafone Store and pre-order yours now.

USA: Samsung Galaxy Nexus now available unlocked in the US for $749.99

Expansys USA is now offering and is shipping the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The world's first Android 4.0 ICS device can now be yours if you head over at Expansys and order the 16GB unlocked version of the device. For those who are worried about the volume issues that the smartphone is and might be experiencing once you have it, Google and Samsung already acknowledged the issue and are now working on releasing a bug fix software update to the Galaxy Nexus. Americans are happy with this news (the fact that Expansys is already shipping the device), so cheers USA!

Google and Samsung confirm volume bug in the Galaxy Nexus software fix coming

Google and Samsung have confirmed the fact that the first Android 4.0 device has problems regarding it's volume. Google said that they are already cooking up a software update to the device which is aimed to apparently kill the bug. Google also said that the problem is solely software related and does not have any problems at all with the hardware so no recalls. This probably is the main reason why the Galaxy Nexus is still unavailable or is still to be launched, with the exception on the British market.

UK: [Update] Samsung Galaxy Nexus now in stock over at Clove UK and is now out of stock

Clove UK announced in November 21 that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (unlocked and SIM-free) was already available and is in stock. But, after a day of being available, the phone is now out of stock according to the current status of the Galaxy Nexus on it's dedicated page. Yeah, I apologize for posting about it this late but for those who were not able to get the first Android 4.0 device, you can still pre-order it over at Clove UK still for $514.80 (VAT inclusive). Apparently, the smartphone is showing a huge demand from customers in the UK, at least, and this is after the issues that the smartphone has with regards to its volume.

AUS: MobiCity to get first batch of Samsung Galaxy Nexus today, Nov 23

MobiCity confirmed via a reply to a question on Twitter that the first batch of Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be arriving in November 23. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the world's first Android 4.0 powered device and albeit the smartphone have some issues with it's volume where it just lowers the volume by itself without you even touching the phone, it is still selling like hotcakes (at least in the UK). According to AusDroid, the Galaxy Nexus in Australia will be sold (MobiCity) for $799 unlocked, apparently. So for those who wants to own one, head over at MobiCity.

UK: Samsung Galaxy Nexus now available in the UK

One of the most awaited Adroid smartphone in the world, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus running on Android 4.0 ICS, is now available in the British market. The first Android 4.0 device is not really available in the whole of the UK but only from Phones4U at its Oxford street, London store. O2 UK is also offering the handset on PAYG for £529. But O2 UK is also offering the Galaxy Nexus tied with a contract.

PHILS: Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming within Q4 of this year in the Philippines and 5 other Asian countries

Well, what do we have here? The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, according to Samsung itself, is expected and scheduled to be launched in the Philippines and five other Asian countries within Q4 of 2012. These countries include Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The smartphone, a Pure Google device, is already announced in the US and in the UK. Actually Clove UK is already accepting pre-orders of the device. For those who are in these Asian countries, this is good news, I am pretty sure.

[Update] UK: Samsung Galaxy Note coming in Nov 3, Galaxy Nexus on Nov 17

Clove UK have reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note (16GB) will be arriving in the UK come November 3. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus (16GB) is also said to be coming in the UK in November 17. Well, at least over at Clove but pretty sure this is the country's launch dates too. Anyway, Clove is already accepting pre-orders of these two devices over their online store. USA: Verizon officially announced the Galaxy Nexus launching "later this year"

Verizon announced on Friday that the recently unveiled and he world's first Android 4.0 ICS smartphone will be coming to the US "later this year". Verizon, fortunately, gave us some pricing details and says that for those who will be getting the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will need to subscribe to the Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk Plan at $39.99 and a monthly data package starting at $30 (for 2GB). UK: [Update] Clove is now accepting pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for £514.80

The world's first smartphone to run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, is now available for pre-order over at Clove UK. Google and Samsung announced both the platform and the device yesterday in Hong Kong and have said that the Galaxy Nexus will be available starting in November and Clove said that they are expecting the first stock to arrive in "early November". Clove also added that the 32GB (built-in) version of the device won't be launched in the UK and that, I believe, is a bummer because, unfortunately, the Galaxy Nexus does not sport a microSD card slot for extra storage.
