Samsung Galaxy S II starts receiving Android 4.0 ICS update

According to some owners of the Samsung Galaxy S II, they have reported that their SGS IIs have started getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The roll out of the update is not via OTA but rather via Samsung Kies. That would mean you need to have Samsung Kies installed into your desktop or laptop, connect your SGS II and then check if you already have the update. According to SammyHub, the report came from Russia, a market where Samsung is on top. This update, I believe, is for the unlocked version of the device. But anyway, there is no harm in checking or trying. So, yup! Run Samsung Kies now!
