Pad Infinity |
Asus has officially launched, in the Philippines, two new Android tablets. These are the Asus Transformer Pad Infinitiy (Photo: above) and the Pad 300 (Photo: after the break). Both run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and both were unveiled during MWC 2012. The big differences between the two are the CPUs and the kind of screen used. The Pad Infinity sports a 1.6GHz nVidia Tegra 3 processor and a 10.1" Full HD (1920x1200) Super IPS display. The Pad 300 on the other hand sports a 1.2GHz nVidia Tegra 3 processor and a 10.1 (1280x800) IPS display.

As for pricing, the Pad Infinity is given an SRP of Php 37,995 and Php 24,995 for the Pad 300. In terms of storage, the Infinity gets a 64GB of built-in storage and the Pad 300 gets only 32GB. Both are high-end tablet but the Infinity just edges ahead of the Pad 300, clearly by the specs alone, not to mention the more expensive materials used to make the tablet.
Both two are surely going to get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, since both are new to the market and if you actually follow Google's 16-month update cycle, these two tablets are in for the ride.
