LG announced availability of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to the Optimus line of devices


LG recently announced that their Optimus line of devices is finally getting the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update. The Korean company announced it over at their Facebook Page and the content of the announcement focused on the European market. The LG Optimus 2X's update is already "available" in Europe as of November 1 to unlocked Optimus 2X-es.




For the Optimus 3D, the update is expected to be rolled out, first in Europe, by November 21st. For the Optimus Black, again in Europe first, is due on November 28th. 

For those who live in Europe and owns either of these devices unlocked and not tied with a carrier, then this news is what you have all been waiting for.

For those who are outside the European continent, you all still should be happy because this means that the update will eventually come to you.
