"For those of you using Android 2.2 (Froyo) and above, you should still be able to enable video calling in your Skype settings. Just go to "Skype settings" after launching the app and select "enable video calling"."
For those who cannot see this in their "Skype settings" then it means that your phone "does not meet the minimum requirements needed to make Skype video calls." Skype adds that the video calling feature on the application will only work with the rear camera of your Android device if your Android is running on 2.2 Froyo.
Skype 2.1 for Android also brings in not only the video calling feature but also bug fixes and performance enhancements which is expected to "boost" your experience with the app.
