Samsung have introduced 4 new smartphones running on Android Gingerbread and that was because of this, I think. Anyway, Samsung will now be using a new naming strategy to their smartphones which gives you an idea what market, how much, and what specs are expected to a Samsung smartphone just by it's name.

Here is a snippet from Sammy Hub on how Samsung will be implementing the new naming strategy:
“S” (Super Smart) will be the given to top-end device of Samsung Galaxy smartphones. It will be the flagship phone. Moving down the ladder will be “R” or Royal, which will be a premium model with a combo of power, design and productivity.
“W” (Wonder) will be high quality strategic models whereas “M” (Magical) phones will boast decent performance at affordable price. Finally the “Y” (Young) range will be targeted at a younger crowd with entry-level price tags in emerging markets.
Samsung will further differentiated their phones with three sub-classes. For instance, “Plus” will indicate an upgrade to an existing model, “Pro” will add a QWERTY keyboard and “LTE” will signify the presence of LTE support in the device.
Its a pretty straight forward strategy so as not to confuse the consumers who will end up buying their smartphones. Good since, I myself get confuse with all these letters after the word "Galaxy" when they name a smartphone. I just wonder for how long will they be implementing this naming strategy, of course this has an end.
