Samsung's Android 2.3 Gingerbread flagship phone is not the Nexus S

While we were very busy with numerous leaks, rumors and whatnots of Nexus One's successor, the yet to be official, Samsung Galaxy S i9020 (GT-i9020) - Google Nexus S, Endgadget got a bit of something from their sources and their guys. A leaked slide of a presentation was tipped to them. Amazingly, it's Samsung's Android 2.3 Gingerbread flagship phone but it does not look like the Nexus S - that Endgadget had the opportunity to get hands on photos.

The phone is touted to launch in February of 2011, runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, will have either a 4.3" or a 4.5" WVGA sAMOLED2 screen, a 1.2GHz processor, 8MP camera with LED flash, HD Video recording (1080p) just like the leaked SE Xperia X12, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DNLA, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, and 16GB of internal memory.

New things are coming up next year and I'm hoping to see them get realized. That 4.3" or 4.5" screen will be Samsung's first not to mention if they eventually decide to put on a 4.5" screen on this phone. That will make every smartphone currently available look small. I also noticed the sAMOLED2 that the slide have. Yes, it's Samsung's Super AMOLED display technology but that "2" should mean the second generation of sAMOLEDs right? We'll wait until Samsung says anything about this.
